The EyeDoctors of New Tampa-Dr. Samuel Teske

I live in Brandon and actually work at an optometry office and I went all the way to New Tampa in order to have Dr. Teske check my eyes because he's just that good! He's an excellent doctor and is very thorough in his exams to the point where he can be extremely accurate with even the smallest details. I'd would NEVER go to any other eye doctor, no matter the distance. He was able to be much more accurate with my Rx than the doctor that I had before him because of how thorough he is with his exams. He's also very friendly and makes all his customers feel comfortable and relaxed. Another thing that he does that it seems that not too many doctors do anymore is explain exactly what's going on with the health of your eyes in words that you can actually understand!! His office crew are also incredibly friendly and actually quite funny as well. Most of the time, when I go to any doctor, the office is always really quiet and nobody even smiles, let alone laughs, but his office staff all seem to have a sense of humor to the point where I actually enjoyed getting my eyes examined! To sum it up: He's a great doctor, he'll give you a very accurate Rx and great care, and your visit will be quite enjoyable :)

Pros: Friendly, thorough, enjoyable, accurate, and much more!

Cons: Absolutely nothing

I highly recommend The Eye Doctors of New Tampa. The staff was very pleasant, accommodating and professional. Dr. Teske was wonderful with my daughter who is 8 years old. He took the time to explain everything to us and did not rush through anything. I was so happy with the time he spent with us I made an appointment for the following day. I would recommend Dr. Teske to anyone who needs their eyes checked.

From the time i enter the office,the front desk receptionist was awesome. You felt right at home. The ladies that did the initial exams was very polite and homely felt like you were family immediately. Dr. Teske,talk about a personable, informative, and easy going individual, well that sums up this individual. As a medical professional one would say he "has bedside manners". There is no experience to be compared to the encounter with Dr. Teske he was wonderful. At the other optometric office that i have gone to and its been a few (I having been wearing glasses for many years),i felt like a number and i went in for an oil change and thats what you were going to get and nothing else.i I had come to the conclusion that this was part of the requirement for optometry school but thanks to md Teske he changed my mind. thanks a million you really helped me not to give up on your colleagues.

Haven't gone to an eye doctor in four years and needed an exam plus a fitting for contacts (first timer!) Receptionist staff EXTREMELY polite (offered bottled water). Dr. Teske is one of the NICEST doctors around, eye doctor or otherwise. He was very patient with me as we did the exam and offered a follow-up with me because he felt we could strengthen my eye "power". I feel like I got my life back, eyesight wise, because of Dr. Teske and his staff. (the only negative I have is the man who helped me through the process of learning how to put the contacts in. He was almost the exact opposite of everyone else in the office, seemed impatient with me; wasn't friendly in the slightest bit; hardly looked at me at all while I was trying to stick this contact lense in my eye for the very first time- I was very put off by him and had it not been for the rest of the office staff and the experience, I might not have gone back)

Pros: great front desk staff/personable doctor

Cons: the guy who walked me through the contact lense fitting- NOT nice at all!
