I have been and continue to be pleased with the attention Dr. Ahad Mahootchi and his staff of knowledgeable ophthalmologists have provided in the care of my eyes. I have confidence that the eye examination I receive is thorough. The equipment used is state of the art. Dr. Mahootchi, who is an eye surgeon as well as an ophthalmologist, after reviewing the results of my examination, explained various options that would improve my eye-sight. Though one option was surgery, I did not feel pressured to select that option. Recently, I opted to have a laser procedure to open the back membrane of my right eye. The procedure was explained, my questions answered, and written instructions given to me prior to the day of surgery, so I knew what to expect. When I arrived at the Same Day Surgery Center in Zephyrhills where Dr. Mahootchi performed the procedure, the medical staff put me at ease. The facility located directly behind Dr. Mahootchi’s office was clean and comfortable. This is not far from where I live in Wesley Chapel, Fl. Because of the positive experience I had at the Same Day Surgery Center, I opted to return there a few weeks later for cataract surgery on my left eye rather than go to a nearby hospital for the procedure. Though told how to care for my eye immediately after the surgery, I greatly appreciated the written instructions given me. Under stress it is easy for instructions to go in one ear and out the other.

Very professional and knowledgeable staff. They definitely know eye surgery. The facility was very clean and modern. Even the beds and chairs for the patients were very comfortable. Definitely the place to have eye surgery in Zephyrhills. Thank you Dr. Mahootchi

Pros: Convenient location. Ultra modern. New and clean facility. Much cheaper than the Hospital

If you are looking for a professional, skilled ophthalmologist, I highly recommend Dr. Ahad Mahootchi. Dr. Mahootchi has his own surgery center in Zephyrhills, staffed with curtious, caring medical professionals. I had cataract surgery in June 2007. From the time I entered the center, until the time I left, I could not have been more pleased. The wait time was very short and everyone was very organized. My recovery has been great and my eyesight is terrific!! I no longer have to wear my glasses. Thanks Dr. Mahootchi for giving me my vision back!

My vision was blurry and I couldnt see to read before the laser, but after the Yag Capsulotomy laser, I can see to read, i can thread a needle, and I can see so much better than before. The paperwork managed to make it over to the Same Day Surgery Center from Dr. Mahootchi's office by the time I walked over to the surgery center. It was quick and easy. The Same Day Surgery Center was clean, very friendly, and very professional. Best of all, there was no wait!

Pros: No wait, easy, painless

Cons: NONE!

Dr. Ahad Mahootchi did cataract surgery on my eyes about eight months ago. The results were fantastic. No more glasses needed! At that time, the surgery had to be done in Tampa at a surgery center. The waiting room was dirty, poorly lit and depressing to sit in. Made me wonder what was beyond the door to surgery. In the end it all turned out ok but it wasn't a pleasant experience. Now -- I recently needed a laser treatment on one eye to clear up some glare. Dr. Mahootchi did the laser treatment in the new Same Day Surgery Center. Wow! Smiles when I walked in at 7:30a.m. A well lit and comfortable waiting room. Eye drops were given in the waiting room and that eliminated waiting again in another area. When my eyes were ready, I was taken to the laser room. Dr. Mahootchi was there waiting. Imagine that - the doctor waiting for you! The treatment took about 3 minutes. 10 minutes later I was on my way. From arrival to departure less than 1 hour. Your eyes are important. Dr. Mahootchi is the best and treatment at the Same Day Surgery Center is so easy. Don't put it off, get your cataracts taken care of now. Never wear glasses again. I don't after 40 years and the feeling is fantastic.

Pros: Lovely building, convenient parking and friendly atmosphere and super employees

Cons: There are no cons to the Same Day Surgery Center

My wife had cataract surgery (lens implant) and two years later additional treatement using a Laser by Dr. Ahad Mahootchi (Eye Clinic of Florida) in Zephyrhills, Fl. The Laser treatment was done in the "Same Day Surgery Center" which is located directly behind Dr. Mahootchi's clinic. Other treatments like the lens implant can now be done at the "Same Day Surgery Center" . This building is newly built (2007) and appears to be a state of the art facility. For us this was a pleasant experience and staffed by friendly professionals. Dr. Ahad Mahootchi 's (the eye doctor) location in Zephyrhills, is about 12 miles from our home in Wesley Chapel, Florida which makes access to his facilities easy for us. For us, the fact that Dr. Ahad Mahootchi received his medical education in the United States was a plus.
