This spa is a hidden jewel! I recently visited Awa with some of my friends, and we had an amazing experience. The atmosphere is relaxing, the women who work at the spa are knowledgeable and fun, and the services are among the best I've had anywhere. I was just there a few days ago, but I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Pros: Ambience and service are superb.

Cons: None

This must have been the fastest and least painful Brazilian Wax I have ever had done. I searched for a while to find a place in Tampa that uses Hard waxes and I FINALLY found AWA. The get an A+++++ from me.

I consider myself an avid spa goer. But my experience at Awa surpassed all others. It is not a very big spa, but it offered me all the luxuries I needed. From the slippers and the robe I changed into, to the refreshng tonic I was offered prior to my treatment. Unlike other spas where you feel like a number shuffled through, at Awa I felt that I was given all the attention and relaxation I was craving. My facial (which happened to be from the owner) was personalized and pampered. She was incredibly knowledgeable and perceptive. She has an Angel's touch and my skin has never felt and looked better. I highly recommend this spa.

Pros: Very personal experience catering to my specific need

Cons: Hard to get an appointment on the weekend with the owner

As a 7 month pregnant woman, I was in desperate need of some TLC. My prenatal massage was so relaxing and my massage Therapist was very nice and caring. I love you all at Awa Spa. Thank you for taking such good care of me. I will be back !

Pros: Very quaint spa

Cons: Need to book sundays in advance. Books up fast

For Mother's day, my husband and kids gave me a gift certificate from Awa. I was eager to try this spa out. My spa package included a Facial, Massage, Manicure and Pedicure. I have recently visited a very prestigeous spa in New York city, but the facial I received at Awa was so much more amazing. It was not just a gentle facial, it was a relaxing experience. I felt incredibly relaxed during the treatment and skin has never looked better. The Esthetician had to wake me up from the dream state I was in. The girl that did my Manicure and Pedicure was an absolute delight. I loved the choice of tonic that she offered me before starting the treatment. She massaged my legs and my feet, and was very detailed with the nail treatment, which I needed badly. And the SCENTS..... how beautiful !! I choose a rose and peppermint scent that was to die for. I did not want to leave.....

Pros: Such lovely staff

Cons: None that I can think of.

I really thought that a Brazilian wax was going to be much more painful, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was completely hair-free by the end of the treatment and my skin was not irritated at all. The therapist was very accomodating and professional. Since I expected the experience to be incredibly painful, (which it was not) I had booked a massage after my wax. The massage was the best I have ever had. The entire spa experience was wonderful. My friend came in with me for moral support (I was afraid of doing the Brazilian at first). She opted for a Manicure and Pedicure. She is usually quite picky, but she absolutely enjoyed her experience. I convinced her to get a Brazilian wax and we are going back for their Girls' Night on Thursday.

For a spa that has so much to offer, the last couple times I've been has been horible. The first bad experience was my waxing. It was dreadful and yes I've had waxing's before. It had been a while since I went back so I thought I'd try it again and get a pedicure and manicure. It wasn't that she wasn't nice. She was but it took over 3 hours and then I noticed that they were short staffed and the girl had to keep running up front to check other people out. During my manicure, she kept sticking her fingers in the polish and what should have been a pampered experience turned into 3 hours @ $100 for nothing great. I will never go back there again and it's a shame because it has potential but maybe they just have a hard time keeping people. One thing that was nice is that I had mentioned to the girl that checked me out what was included in the manicure and come to find out it wasn't what I paid for so she did fix the manicure.

Pros: Good atmosphere. very relaxing environment

Cons: Way too pricey for what you get in regards to the level of service.

I visited Awa for the first time when it opened 2 years ago and have been in love with the spa ever since. The services are incredibly relaxing, the facility is immaculate, and the staff is so friendly. I will continue going back

I have visited many spas around the country, but the experience at Awa spa by far exceeded my expectations. The facial I received was the best one I have ever had. Not only were the treatments heavenly, but the staff was incredibly accomodating. The entire facility is so relaxing. I could spend hours relaxing in their lounge, sipping on my tonic while being completely hypnotized by the relaxing waterfall across the comfy couch.

Pros: Too many to list

Cons: Need to book 3-4 weeks in advance for their Spa Girls' Night
