Being that it was my first time visiting Timpano Chophouse, I was pleasantly surprised with the service, The food was great, but the service could have been better - overall I was satisfied.

Awesome first time experience!

This was my first time dining at Timpano after being referred serveral times by different friends. We arrived a little later than most diners and all I heard was the beautiful voice of Belinda Womack! I thought wow, this is going to be great. We chose to dine on the covered patio. The server was very helpful at answering our questions. We took his suggestion and ordered the mussels to start with. He was right. Best mussels in town! The chef ravioli was very tasty and portioned just right. Didn't have room for dessert but they sure looked appetizing. I would definately recommend Timpano Chophouse to all my friends. Especially on friday night, when Belinda is singing. Great experience!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

I love this place! I would eat here everday if i could. Friday is my birthday and i will be eating there!!!! The chicken flatbread is sooo good, the steaks are amazing and the sides are out of this world. This is a great place to hang out with friends or family.

Amazing..

Amazingly Surprised,

I was recommended to dine with a friend at Timpano's, never being there I was intrigued. We arrived to quaint Hyde Park Village which was a setting that you can only imagine in movies. Everything was nicely decorated for christmas and on the corner was Timpano. The restaruant had a nice warm, energetic setting, the bar was packed, we sat at a nice booth in the middle of everything. Service was prompt, The food was mouth watering, from the Mussel's to the Steak. The live muscians were a treat as well. For a night out with friends( my setting) or a date/special occasion, I would highly reccomend to try them out for any reason. I WILL be returning again soon.

Worst service EVER

My friend and I sat for dinner at 7pm on a Friday night. We sat at the table for about 15 minutes before anyone took a drink order. Our beers (in bottles) took about 15 minutes to arrive. When the beers were placed on our table, my friend had to shout out our appetizer order to our waiter as he ran away (we were hungry and had yet to place an order). We were shocked when our appetizers arrived 10 minutes later - and had still yet to place our dinner order. Our service was so bad, we asked to speak with the manager. The manager Steve came to our table, apologized, and then said he would "take care of us". At that point we placed our orders. Almost a half hour later - our meals arrived. My meal was very good, but my friend's meal was terrible. She took one bite and decided to send it back - unfortunately there was no waiter around for the next 15 minutes - so out of pitty for her starvation, I gave her half of my dinner. To my complete shock, the waiter proceded to try to sell us a dessert - when we demanding our check so we could just leave (we were now over 2 hours into dinner). I can't believe we had to pay for our meals. They did everything but splash water on us - the service was so bad! At the end of the meal, after we paid, I complained to the manager again - he gave me a VIP pass to try the restaurant out again - but to be honest, I am not sure I want to. For the amount of money this restaurant charges for food - and the atmosphere they wish to promote, I am absolutely shocked that the service is so incredibly bad.

• Cons: bad service, expensive food (you have to order everything seperately), too loud

south tampa hot-spot

i've been a regular at timpano since moving to hyde park in 2005. every time i've been there, the service, food and overall experience has been absolutely amazing. the outdoor patio is a great asset and is what a lot of other fine restaurants are missing... also - best martini's in town. highly suggest.

• Pros: courteous staff, valet most evenings, live music, NYC feel, not a lot of kids during evening
• Cons: can get packed on certain nights, could ruin the ambience for some

Another Good Experience

I have been to Timpano's several times and I have never had a bad experience. I Went this Friday night and I have no complaints. My waiter was courteous and prompt and I like the live music and the general character of the place. It is not the best place to go if you are looking to have a quite conversation with someone but if you want to have good food and a great atmosphere to take someone to I reccomend Timpano's.
