Love Sells!
by dance4life2
You will be pleased. Have your child try a class or two and they will want more. Yes this is a business, but it feels more like a family.
- Pros: Wonderful Teachers/great group of students
- Cons: sometimes classes run a bit over schedule
Let your child try Sells....they will LOVE it, we wish we had found them years ago.

My daughter joined Sells Broadway about 2 years ago. She LOVES it. Not only is she excited to go to practices (moms love that) the recitals and dances they learn are pretty amazing. My daughters confidence level has gone through the roof and dance has become her passion. Thank you Shanna, Chris, Heather, Kim and Mr Mike
- Pros: Watching my child glow with confidence

Ridiculous

Whoever footballpro is or whatever should remember that because of the economy, people are going to give up extras that take money. For example, DANCE. That would be the main reason for a decline in enrollment. If people do leave due to negative things involving the studio, that would only be an extremely small percentage. Sell's is surely one of the most professional studios in town. The teachers all care about their students, and that means all of their students. If they did not, why would not take the time and money to ensure an amazing recital. For all those people who complain, go and watch another studio's recital and compare the quality. Sell's is by far more professional.
- Pros: Everything, experienced teachers, amazing recitals, great atmosphere.
- Cons: NOTHING!
Sell's Broadway Dance= great place to dance!!
by dance4lifexx
I'm a student there and I think Sell's Broadway Dance is a great place. They are currently taking some more dance classes to competitions in February 2008. The instructors have so much professional background and regularly teach dances from Broadway Musicals. Although they teach well, sometimes they lack communication. They also have many classes to take and they're adding on more and more. Sell's is great!
- Pros: Great Recitals, Interesting Choreography
- Cons: Lack of communication
We love Sells, more importantly...my daughter loves it!!

My daughter started at Sells about a year ago. We are extremely impressed. Not only does she look forward to going 2 nights a week but her confidence has went Way up and the recital was amazing. I am so surprised at the negative comments a few Mom made. My daughter and I are thrilled that children from the studio went on to NYC to compete....That alone speaks volumes about the teachers at this school...and they WON FIRST PLACE!!! Amazing, way to go girls! You are an inspiration to my daughter. Chris and Shanna, I have never seen two people give so much to your students. We had many family members and friends attend the recital and everyone was blown away. Keep up the great job!
- Pros: First dance school that my daughter LOVES attending, she took two classes last year, wants to take 4 this year, that speaks volumes to us as parents
- Cons: none
perfect example

there is one thing that all these posters are saying and that is that they are only focusing on the students who are going to competition and that is simply not true i was in fact asked to go to competition with them but decided not to go for i was too busy but just because i didn't go didn't mean that chris and shanna didn't pay attention to me anymore they are the best teachers i have ever had and are definitely my favorites. also it is not chris and shannas falt that the air conditioning is broken its the buildings and if any of you moms knew anything about dancing you would know that no air conditioning helps the muscles warm up and if you can't take the heat than maybe you should just go outside. These petty little problems that you all talk about happen at every studio so no matter where you go your going to bump into them so you might as well go to a studio who is going to train your precious little child how to dance and in the past we have even had other studios in the county steal our choreography so what does that say to you about their studio. Chris and Shanna are high quality teachers so they deserve to have high quality students that are dedicated to them. I will always go to sells because i love the environment of the students and teachers and if parents want to complain then they should just go to another studio and bring their wining childish selves to another studio and bother them with your petty problems.
- Pros: High Quality Teachers who want to have fun and dance along with you while teaching.
- Cons: They have no cons
The Place I grew the most!!

I have been at Sell's for a mere 2 years. with some leave, going other places. But let me say this to people who are using this site as a review to look at the studio and to those who are bad mouthing? the what they think is a horrible studio. Take it from a person who has been there and other places. As an adult I can say i have learned a lot of things through these two wonderfull teachers as well as heather. I have gone to studios in pasco pinellas and Sarasota, not to say the studios weren?t decent but, sell's is the most professional. I have been to many professional auditions now in my dancing career and would like to say they get you ready for it. They are the ones who got my training to a high point in which i was able to be accepted into the boston ballet for the summer of 2007, not to mention that they got me ready for the college experience in which i got a fully paid scholarship for dance and are preparing me for the real world of dance entertainment. So for those who think that this studio isnt a "good"studio, let me tell you that with out the support and love that these teachers have given me. i would not be the dancer i am today. I would not be starting my career. I would be stuck in pasco for the rest of my life but they have sent me to these auditions and pushed me in class. With out these two essentials I wouldnt be going anywhere with my career. I love where i started. i am proud to call it my home. So for all those who say it is chaotic and horrible let me say this. If you have such complaints as i have read then you try and get to broadway, make a career out of it, come back to pasco open a studio, raise to kids and still make a success of your dancers and tell me how far you get! The best dancers in pasco, pinellas and this general area are coming from this studio trust me becuz i have seen. Chris and Shanna you are training amazing kids through your teaching and words of wisdom!
p.s. To you parents who are acting like children GET OVER IT!
- Pros: Amazing, best teachers in pasco, great kids
- Cons: NO cons
Wonderful Dance Studio!!

I must say that I am appauled by the childish comments posted on this site. This is NOT a chat room, nor is it a place for gossip. My daughter has been attending classes at Sell's for 5 years now. She LOVES it and so do we. Chris, Shanna, and Heather offer professional instruction in a kid friendly way. I actually came to the site to comment on another terrific recital and I was dumbfounded to find the negativity and pettiness here. No, my child is not in one of the numbers. She is not a "favorite" but that is because I don't feel that there are favorites. I cannot believe that grown adults are writing things about innocent children. As I stated before, we are not part of the New York group. But, I am very excited for them. I happen to have a class with some of the girls who are going. The moms', in my opinion, have been very conscientious. I don't feel that I have heard a lot about fundraising. And if I did, who cares?? It is just like them raising money for football and soccer. I am happy to support them with their trip. My daughter is proud to say that the studio she goes to has a group going to New York. To all of the people going to that competition, good luck! We'll be thinking of you.
Now, to use this site for what it is intended....... Sell's has a fabulous program for all ages. I highly recommend it. They give a high level of instruction and truly care about their students. Their students look happy. Their recitals are amazing. They are like a Broadway production. Their are alot of parents very willing to help out. That says something. Don't look at them as brown-nosers but as volunteers. People who are willing to volunteer their time. They sacrifice seeing their child on stage. I know this because I did help out backstage. I didn't see anything but caring moms trying to get the performers on stage.
Chris and Shanna are doing a wonderful job. We can't wait until classes start again in August.
- Pros: Excellent instruction, great recitals
- Cons: Lacks organization, communication needs work
They are just little girls
by tdawnj
I would like to please remind everyone to remember that these are just little girls we are talking about when you speak of these little rockettes. These comments are very disheartening coming from women who are obviously mothers too. Let's face it ladies, Little Miss Megan is in a lot of different classes and all of those classes were not chosen. Actually, Chris and Shanna honestly just tried the competition thing to see what would happen. It really was a last minute decision. When they placed and were invited to other competitions it just sort of was carried on. Truthfully, Shanna wasnt even sure if she wanted to go to New York or not, the push was not from the studio at all. She let the parents decide, especially because of the financial commitment involved. You are all acting scary when you speak about these innocent little girls. They truthfully do not even realize what is going on and are just having fun. Please remember this... And that was a very mean comment posted about the way the Rockettes performed in the recital, I'm not sure how many know this but they just found out the night before the performance they were in the recital and had not practiced in a long time. I just hope you remember that these little girls are just dancing to enjoy life and where ever it may take them.
- Pros: Great Instructors!
