Great Everything!!!

A friend and I dined at Cheddar's last night and we were blown away. It was my first time there and did not know what to expect as I live about 30 minutes east of Brandon. I arrived and walked up to a restaurant with a great outside decor and a band playing on the patio. I walked inside and my friend was already seated at a table so I joined her. As i looked over the menu I could not believe how low in price the food items were. I figured they must give you really small portions. Boy was I wrong!! We ordered the onion rings for an appetizer and out came this huge stack of onion rings. They were so good.We had already ordered the $2.50 margaritas they had and it was huge and delicious. I had 2. We ordered our entrees from the server, who was polite and made suggestions to us on a couple of items. I got the Chicken tenders and my friend got one of the items suggested the new tilapia dish. When our food came out I could not believe how much food we received. I could not finish all of mine. My friend finished her tilapia, but not before i got to try a bite. It was awesome the alfredo and the fish were a good combination. We decided after we finished dinner to check out the band. Come to find out they only have a band on Thursday's on the patio. The band was good we had another drink and headed out for the evening. I would recommend this place to anyone. GREAT JOB CHEDDARS!! I will be back

decent food at a great price

My favorite dish is the country fried steak, it's so big it can't fit on the plate, My wifes favorite is the chicken caesar salad. Located in chain restaurant row , it has to be the best deal in Brandon.

Decent food, strangely cheap prices, weeknight eating out location

>The good: The food is consistently decent, not awesome but nothing really wrong with it either. The portions are typically really large and we usually take leftovers home. The drink menu is varied and their happy hour is pretty cheap. The service is decent, they seem to hire a lot of kids for their waitstaff and hostess jobs. There is lots of parking and they have a unique fan in the main dining room.

>The bad: While the food is good, it's nothing spectacular. This seems to be a restaurant that attempts to make up for the banality of their food with larger portions. In terms of value, this is great, but culinarians shouldn't expect to be blown away at Cheddar's. They seem to have confused there their freezer is as the dining area is always freezing cold. Their 'signature' chicken fingers are bland.

We have visited several times, including duing the saturday night rush and have never waited for a table. If informed of an hour wait (!), we'd politely decline and go to one of the other 400 restaurants in the area. Cheddar's is good and its value is excellent, but there's really no reason to wait an hour for a table.

Great Place, Great Value, love the atmospere

When you consider the uniqueness of the meals and the large portions they give you and the overall quality of the food, the price is excellent. My wife and I always share a meal and always come away full.

• Pros: Great food in a fun atmospere at a great price
• Cons: Long lines esecially on Friday and Saturdays Evenings. Expect to wait an hour, but worth it.
