My first experience at Blue Martini was great. Was with a guy friend and we had great table service, great ambience, band, drinks, etc. I went back on a friday w/ a girlfriend and had really poor service. We sat outside at the bar and waited 30 mins to be served. We were sitting right beside where she made drinks. We gave her the benefit of the doubt that she was really busy (she WAS the only bartendar outside during happy hour). However, things got progressively worse. People would be served 2 rounds of drinks before she would even turn to us. Getting her attention was useless. Even the guys around us didn't understand why were being ignored. They started ordering for us, b/c she obviously had an issue. I'm normally all about girl bartendars b/c I am one! But, I couldn't believe how bad the service was. I chose not to complain, b/c I thought she was swamped, however it didn't improve when another bartendar was added. I don't know if it had to do w/ us being 2 girls' or what, but I have no desire to go back there now. If I do it wll I will make sure to sit at a table or at least have a guy w/ me since that's what they seem to cater to. Unfortunately, she missed out on a great tipper......

Pros: outdoor patio, easy parking, ambience, clean, good martinis, some good waitresses

Cons: bartendar service poor...

The Blue Martini is Tampa's place to hang out for drinks and fun. I have been going over 4 years now and I am hooked on Blue. The service is excellent, the crowd after 11 is a blast, they have live music Monday through Saturday, and the food is great (try the seared tuna or sliced beef tenderloin). The bartenders are the best in the business - they will take care of you. The cocktail waitresses, bar-backs, and even the security staff, are all customer friendly. Check the band schedule and watch for The Knot as they are the best that play there (R&B style music). If you are a non-smoker, be prepared, as smoking is allowed in this club!!

I have mixed reviews for the blue martini, upbeat fun environment, commercial bands, drinks are too expensive. I really dont like the fact that whenever I go in there it seems much more of a pickup bar than a classy establishment. Very smoky inside. I would say good for men or women that want to get some or a sexually transmitted disease

Constantly raided for illegal sales of illegal substances even by the staff. HUGE pick up joint! Live bands are not the best! Only good thing I can think of after going several times is that its in a mall so plenty of parking!

Pros: Lots of parking

Cons: It just feels cheesy

Very trendy spot for a good martini. Sit outside and watch the people go by or sit inside at the bar. Usually a good band playing too.

I loved this place with it's band and beautiful decor. Drinks are expensive, but what do you expect at international plaza? We definitely will be back and thought the service was great. They have this cool platform for dancing and I was the one dancing on it all night Saturday!

Pros: Beautiful Place and Good Service

Cons: Expensive!

Sometimes, large crowdes are okay...when you have the room for them. I am sure this could be a nice place, but there were entirely too many people to enjoy this place. I don't like to have to fight to get to the bar or for a table that is jammed in small spaces. If you get there early and stay for hours, I am sure it's a nice place, but good luck if you don't get there before 6pm!

Blue Martini is a smoky, loud, and crowded bar. Probably because of the noise, the server keep getting the wrong orders. And the martini shakers were unmarked, so even when the right drinks are brought, she mistaken them at the table. The menu is actually not bad, and most of the appetizers cost the same or less than a drink. The crowd also means many patrons won't have a seat. So if you don't mind drink the wrong drink while standing in a smoky bar, Blue Martini is an average place.

Pros: Near big mall

Cons: Poor service, Expensive, Noisy

I think Blue Martini is one of the best bars and places in Tampa. Always serves as a great hang out and you can't help but have a good time, even when its crowded! The people that work there are great!! The bartenders are friendly and know their drinks, especially Joel!! Def. a good spot to go after work or just to go out on the weekend with your friends!!!

This is the place to go in Tbay. The service is excellent the staff is great. It's the place to relax meet and greet. The best thing is the band rotates from all the different Blue Martinis in the State so the music never gets stale just ask the locals. See you tonight, ask for RUSSTBAY or Arron the Bar tender near the Band he will take good care of you and yours.
