Best Classical French Food in town!

Extremely good classical french food. What you would expect from a 4 or 5 star big city resturant. The decor is average and the service is also average. Upscale casual attire, kids ok. Will definitly return to see what Chef Dominique has to offer next.
- Pros: Presentation, menu
- Cons: decor

The food and service was fantastic. If anything the service was too atentive. Despite what this site says, I found it very romantic. Also, the price is a little higher than stated. Dinners were between $24-$29.
- Pros: service , food, atmosphere
- Cons: price
Cafe Largo is a gem

Contrary to what the previous person said, we did dine at Cafe Largo on Valentine's day and it was one of the more memorable meals I have had. They offered (I believe) a five course meal, which was wonderful. Well worth the price.
We are locals, and find this is a great place to get a France fix.

I went here for valentines. They had a fixed menu, so we could not order a la carte. The service was below average the ambiance was non existent. Over the years we have eatten in many out of the way locations and had a nice meal and good service at an excellent value. The food was good, the dessert was bad. At $180 for both us cafe largo did not deliver.
- Pros: food ok
- Cons: over priced, poor service, no ambiance
Excellent eatery feels like it should occupy a verdant rural cottage in France.

In Short
The cuisine here is simply magnifique. A standout is the perfect French-style stew called boeuf Bourguignon, heavy in a rich wine sauce. The triumph of the menu is the plate of lamb chops seasoned with herbs and cooked rare. Venture toward dessert, and you'll encounter an irresistible chocolate mousse, with bits of real chocolate fortifying the filling, perched among little topknots of fresh whipped cream.
- Pros: good for groups
