Ok anglers !!! I'm from Kentucky, and down on vacation to my sister inlaws house, decided to go deep sea fishing, with my brother inlaw. POINT BLANK!!! Tucker the Captain we had on the Double Eagle II Is a captain that really really knows what he is doing. Thx Tucker !!!! He put us on fish all day during our charter out to the Gulf. Was a very nice & cool person to talk to. The crew-DeckHands done a great job also. All I can really say is in a 1 to 5 star rating, these guys get *5*. Thank you guys very much for the wonderful experience we had today!! The Double Eagle Rocks !!!!!!! Donald White Flemingsburg, Kentucky

Pros: experienced crew with a great captain, caught fish all day long

Cons: none

I understand that they need a full boat to go out for half a day, but we had reservations, got up early and headed over there only to be 1 of 2 names on the list. We were completely ignored for half an hour and when we thought someone was going to actually acknowledge us they told us that the half day boat was not going out. They were not very friendly and a heads up phone call to say no one was showing up would've been helpful. Not wanting to waste a trip we paid the difference and went the entire day. It was OK after the hour and a half ride out. The guy we had helping everyone was pretty good and if you needed him he was helpful enough. Why they don't cut the fillets up while we're riding in is beyond me, since they were poorly cut when we got off the boat anyway. Expensive for a mediocre trip. Next time we will just go to Tarpon Springs.

Pros: Caught a decent fish

Cons: Unfriendly staff, expensive

I have been a Florida resident for 5 years and until I discovered the Double Eagle charter boat for deep sea fishing I pretty much gave up on the charter trips. I can say that Captains Luke, Wess and Dave are awesome. I have had to "train" before these trips because I catch alot of Keeper Grouper. I have even had family members come to Florida not only to visit, but catch these Keepers. I want to thank all the captains and staff, Tucker the mate you are GR8. I am going on the trip Monday the 31st all day and am ready to hear the engines shut off and Hold On!!!! George Also stop by the galley and order a ham, egg and cheese sandwich from Mike or Jack they're GREAT!

Pros: Service, staff and fishing spots

Cons: NONE

I've been crew on the "Double Eagle" for 17 years now. This trip is the most reasonable way to get out fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. In response to the one bad review-I am sorry you did'nt enjoy your experience with us.We try in earnest to catch fish and provide a genuine value and are sometimes subject to the will of Mother Nature. Maybe you should take up bowling instead.

Visit my Dad in Clearwater 4 times a year for the past 5 years. Always went to Double Eagle the last three times we went it was terrible. Moved more then we fished. Caught nothing all three times. Captain seemed not to care took are money and that was that. Raised prices to $70.00 why not charter a boat for $ 100.00 and be one of 6. If you are looking for a boat ride for $70.00 take this, don't expect too catch fish. You guys better get your act together. For $50.00 go too Tarpon Springs for full day

Pros: Boat started

Cons: Everything
