I stayed with a friend for two weeks and found the condo village a pleasure to visit. It is a 55+ retirement community but there are a sprinkling of younger people which is nice and good facilities for golf (9 and 18 holes) swiming (large heated and unheated lap pools), pool tables (12), lawn bowling, shuffle board, tennis, boating on a small lake, wood working shop, and even some entertainment. It is 1/2 mile from Countryside (Westgate) mall which is largest covered mall in Florida which as all the usual stores plus an ice-skating rink. lol. At first I found the older buildings and sculptures and arc d'triumph tacky but after a while I grew to find them amusing and the general atmosphere very safe and very beautiful - the buildings are in X shape and always have a quiet side. You park near your condo and either walk in or use the elevators to 2nd and 3rd floors. Lots of good restaurants and books stores and beaches all within 1-4 miles. What is not to love about it?
Pros: amenities if you like golf (no tee time reservations needed), swimming, biking or walking.
Cons: older atmosphere in the buildings, not flashy, but hey, price is right and people very nice

We were very surprise by the place, its clean ,the appartment are spacious and in very good shape...peoples are friendly you got on the complex recreation center, shefffle board, a swimming pool, golf course. All those make the place a wonderful place to stay
