The frog pond has a clique that centers around the gayness of its owners. Somehow, if you are gay it must mean you have good taste in all things. Unfortunately, that does not apply to their coffee. It is the absolutely worst dishwater on the beach.
Seating arrangements during crowded times are by your relative social standing in the eyes of the management.
Snobbery rules this establishment.
Neither the quality of their food nor the level of their service
justifies enduring the cramped seating and cacophonous
noise while eating here.
Try the Shore Grill (Barnies coffee and Stricklands Ice Cream) or the Conch Republic. The Sweet Sage is also good .
- Pros: Large portions
- Cons: Larger prices
By far the best benidict anywhere

Six of us visited the Frog Pond today. We heard it was a great place. Good food, nice decor, friendly, large portions, and excellent service. I ordered the basic breakfast, eggs, bacon, toast, home fries. The white toast came out rye, the bacon was barely cooked, home fries totally burnt, eggs cold, orange juice in a cup the size of a large shot glass. I asked the server to correct it and waited another 15 mins before she even came back to ask what was wrong, by then everyone had eaten their meals. That was a waste of $10.00 on my part. And by the way a party of six was $77.00 without tip. Save your money and time go to the waffle house or I-hop you will be in and out in 20 mins and spend less.
- Pros: CLEAN, FRIENDLY, NICE DECOR
- Cons: CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE EATING.
Not impressed at all

I decline to go every time I am invited to the Frog Pond. Not only is the wait ridiculous but the food is overpriced and there is no room in there. You feel like you are pressed up to the person next to you. I have never been impressed by the food. The only thing I like is the gift shop next door.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Over-rated
Very busy place but short wait time and excellent service

My husband and I were very pleased with the friendly and courteous staff! Although they were very busy they took very good care of us. At first glance the menu seems to be very pricey but for the amount of food you get and for how good the service is you can't beat it.
- Pros: Great service, friendly staff.
- Cons: Noise level is high because they are so busy.

My husband and I decided to go to the Frog Pond today for breakfast after hearing about all the wonderful reviews. We waited about 15-20 minutes, which we anticipated. The waitress was very friendly and hospitable. We ordered omelets with home fries. The omelets were okay. My husband felt they cook the omelets with "powered eggs". The homes fries were great and the coffee was decent. We drove from Indian Rocks, next time we'll go to the Gathering in Sabla Plaza.
- Pros: Cute decor
- Cons: Didn't live up to the hype

This beach-side joint decked with frog paraphernalia offers breakfast favorites such as crepes, omelets and quiche.
Maybe the Best Breakfast Restaurant in Florida

This restaurant has added pounds to my old body and believe me, it has been worth every ounce. I don't care what you order, every item on their menu is nothing short of AWESOME. I guess that the best way to describe this place - - how many restaurants do you know that have been in business for 23 plus years, still owned by the same people and they still work there, treating their customers like each and everyone is part of the Frog Pond Family.
- Pros: great taste, large portions, great service
- Cons: sometimes get loud, during the winter, snow birds fill place
Good....For Pinellas

Had brunch there last week. Waited 40 minutes to be seated. Had a basic bacon and cheese omlette. The bacon was a pre-cooked reheated mass in the center with cheese and omlette folded over it into a fake looking half moon shape. Had to cut thru the bacon cement with a knife which is a real no-no for an omlette. Taste was ok and better than anything else I've had in Pinellas since moving here 6 months ago. Still, for the price it was a mild dissapointment. Service was very good and the coffee wasn't bad. Portion size was good. Do I have to go to Tampa for a really good brunch?
- Pros: food, cute decor, service
- Cons: noisy, crowded, a bit pricey

If any readers know the frog pond, you know the portions. Well my 8 year old 50 lb daughter finished her belgian waffle and I finished my banana foster waffle still hungry. the other breakfast entrees an omelette, french toast and blue berry pancakes were old school frog pond. if i am paying 8 dollars for a waffle i better struggle to finish it. The place is not cheap but there a step above the rest. its very clean, the service is tops and the fruit platters of past orderings were huge and fresh. Family of 5, 3 kids under 10 be prepared to spend $50 for breakfast. I may bitch and moan but i'll be back hopefully they'll juice up the waffle
