Little old blonde...

I like Woody's overall ,but every time I go in there this little blonde old chic is yelling at someone. It is no secret she's rude. The bartenders know it and the customers know it. She yells at everything, if the wind blows or if the sun sets! If you have beed there or plan to go there, avoid this women. You can't miss her, short, blonde and about 50. Otherwise, Woody's rocks!!

overrated, bad service

As a local, I have eaten at many establishments on the beach. I was not impressed with Woodys, first of all, they dont take credit cards, but of course, for $2.50 they have an ATM so that you can pay them in cash. Our waitress was MIA during the meal, and when I went to the bar to get a drink for myself and my wife, the bartender refused, saying that "she would be right back!!!! Whats her name?!!!! The food was nothing great... The tuna was sent back overcooked and the kids hot dog was burned. We ended up spending over 3 hours there, I simply think there are better choices for seafood, or even burgers for that matter.(PJ's Oyster Bar)

Best Burgers in the area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just moved here last May from WV and have been to Woody's several times and I just love the

food and atmosphere. There should be more of this eating places along the waterfront. I would bring

all of my visiting West Virginia Mountaineer friends here when they visit me. Lets go MOUNTAINEER'S.

They have the best Burgers in the area......

Never been more insulted

I walked into Woody's on a quiet Sunday this past week looking to meet a friend of mine. I could not find her as yet and the bartender asked me if I was lost. I said no I was waiting for a friend, could I have two beers please.

"No, I have to see the other person first". No Problem. "Could I have a beer for myself please".

"No".

Incredously, I asked, "why not"?

"Because you could give it to someone else".

Your call, but I will never go there again. Life is too short.

I Love This Bar!

I couldn't disagree with the previous reviewer more. We have been going to St. Pete Beach for a few years now and Woody's is our favorite beach bar/restaurant. The atmosphere is very casual, overlooks the water, and the sunsets over the Gulf are awesome. We have never had a bad meal at Woody's. The burgers, wings, and grouper sandwiches are among the best on the beach. A friend of mine had a grouper salad which she called "excellent." Adding to the beach bar atmosphere is the wonderful singing talents of Tony D. Tony has been at Woody's for 14 years and his musical ability is incredible. He sings Buffett, Keith, Marley and lots of other great stuff. See Tony Wednesday through Saturday in the evening, and on Sunday in the afternoon.

Woodys...only for the setting

Nice outdoor seating overlooking the Gulf/intercoastal area, good for sunsets, service excellent and friendly. Lots of TV's in the bar area showing multiple NFL games. Grouper sandwich was tough, dried out, chewy. Fries & slaw were fine, Margarita & Blood Mary were nothing to write home about. CASH ONLY, no credit cards (ATM machine on-site) Final analysis: I would find another place unless I just wanted beer, fries and some casual outdoor seating on the water.
