Wow!! this place really needs a new cook!! Even the mashed potatoes were bad. Two meals at 35.00 plus and we had to carry it home to the Dogs. No flavor in our meats it looks like they had some teenaged guy in the kitchen that didn't know what he was doing. The place was very dirty, everyone we saw as customers seemed like this would be their last visit also. BEWARE!!!!

They renovated, thankfully and got rid of the dead weight they were carrying with the old wait staff. So that's a plus. Some menu items are quite good...the broccoli bites, the chili, the chicken sandwiches, the fries, the fish dip. Some are like cafeteria food ....pot roast...turkey diiner..canned tasting vegis..etc. so again, hot or miss depending what you order, but it has been cleaned up and redecorated, as well as expanded with the deletion of the dingy bar area grungy homeless looking guys used to linger at for hours (Yippee!)

I generally order the breaded pork cutlets on Thursday night and have never been disappointed. I had the corned beef last year and was not disappointed, but this year it was GREAT...

Someone told me that this was a great restarant. The word there being "used to"!!! The food was ok, service poor, restrooms disgusting. I did get some brown lettuce with one tomato slice for 3.70. The atmosphere leaves alot to be desired. Would not bother to ever go back.

Great Pub Environment/Food

Try the Fish Spread with hot sauce and jalapenos. And/or the fish special. Excellent! Plan on watching a game there, beautiful friendly bar with good draft beer selection.

Used to be great place, gone downhill

Babalu used to be a very good diner type restaurant. They recently renovated and in my opinion, the place has really gone downhill. Yes, the former building was old and kind of run down, but that is what gave it atmosphere. The renovated building is much more attractive, howvere for some reason, the food and service now suffer. The last time I went there, we waited forever to get waited on. When someone finally did come over, she was not too bright or very friendly. I wanted to order wings, which has always been one of their most advertised specialties. I was told they were out of wings. It took a very long time to get our food, which was only OK as opposed to before the renovation, when the food was quite good. It also took a long time to get our check when we were done. I rarely do this, but I left a very small (under 10%) tip. I am not sure if we'll go back or not, since their are a lot of other good restaurant choices near by. I would have given this a 1 for my last experience. I only gave it a 2 becuase it used to be good.

Food was so-so. Service was terrible!

We must have had the worst waitress in the world. After she served our meals, she never came back to refill our drinks. We had to go to counter to get our check, and she over charged us! The food was just ok, if it was GREAT we would try again with another waitress. Just not worth giving them another chance.

I love this place!!!

Im a SAHM of an 18 month old and twin 4 month olds... needless to say, I don't get out much. I love the fact that they have free delivery for lunch and dinner as well a HUGE variety on their menu! Seriously... their menu is at least 5 pages long!

I don't know who it is that I talk to on the phone everytime but young lady, if you are ready this, I can't thank you enough for being sooooo accomidating and so polite no matter HOW busy you are!

I recommend this place to everyone! They are so good and soooooo inexpensive!

• Pros: Family friendly, Super Nice, Great Food, Great prices!
• Cons: No breakfast... LOL! I'm so sick of the Village Idiots... errr... I mean the Village Inn

GREAT DELIVERY

I read the 3 reviews and took their advice. We just moved and had to find a place to eat and was tired of pizza. The apartment complex gave me their menu and we ordered. We had the italian sub, smothered chicken sub, buffalo style chicken fingers, and the nachos all delivered. They said it would be 50 minutes and we got it in 35 minutes. Everything was hot and beautiful!! I totally will order take out again and I can not wait to go and eat in the restaurant!! Good eating.
