I'm sure you all know how hard it is to find a really great hair stylist out there, but when you do find that stylist, you will follow them everywhere! That's what I did with Phil Reed. I've been going to Phil for years and I have yet to be disappointed. Phil is the best at what he does! He gives me perfect highlights and an excellent hair cut every time I go. It's not one of those haircuts that lasts you a few days... Nope, it looks great for a long time. I always get compliments on my hair and I tell people to go to Phil! I always get highlights done and he does an excellent job. He actually takes the time to put those highlights and foils in so it looks great and natural. Another great thing about him is that he sits down with you before he does anything to your hair and asks you what you want done and then will give you suggestions or give you exactly what you want. He's not one of those stylists that you say you want 1/4 inch trim and then lops off 2 inches. ;-) I drive 45 minutes in order to get to him and it's completely worth the time and the gas! Phil will make you look great. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. If you're looking for the best hairstylist in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater/Tampa Bay area, look no further than Phil!

Finley & Phillips thank you for having such a great team under one roof. Sylvia is fabulous! She provides the best waxing & skin care in the Tri-City area. I relocated to Las Vegas for 3 yrs & made frequent trips back to St. Pete & my first stop ALWAYS was to see Sylvia. Now that I am back I gladly make the trip from Tampa to St. Pete. She takes such care and pride in the work that she does. I can't begin to tell you how many compliments I get on my eyebrows!! She truly does an amazing job! On a recommendation from Sylvia, I scheduled a hair appt with Philip Reed as my previous stylist moved out of state. I am happy to have found so quickly a perfect match for my hair. His cut and color services restored my hair back to its silky, shiny state.

Pros: Knowing that I will ALWAYS leave feeling fabulous!!

I followed my stylist "Phillip Reed' from Salon Jack to Finley & Phillip because he is the BEST hairstylist I've ever had. He's very personalable and willing to help you decide the perfect hair style for "your" lifestyle. In fact, I had Phillip color my hair before traveling to New York City for a wedding. While I was in NYC, I had my hair done in an up-do. All the hair stylist in the salon in NYC complimented me on how great my highlights were. I just smiled, knowing, Phillip did once again...another GREAT job. I highly recommend booking an appointment with Phillip. You will definitely leave HAPPY!!!!

I think I tried out everyone who does leg waxes in St. Petersburg before I found Sylvia. She is absolutely the best in town. Quick. No mess. No pain. She makes sure there are no stray hairs left over. Plus she is really nice and makes the whole experience relaxing and fun. She gives great facials too. If you haven't gone to see her yet, you definitely need to go.

It has been years since I have left a salon feeling this beautiful! I have had my hair butchered and my color destroyed by many "experts" and "color masters". There didn't seem to be an end to the road I was trudging. Then I found Phil. Phil Reed gave me the best short haircut and blonde highlights I've had since my years at Van Michael Salon in Atlanta. I used to spend $300 EASILY in one visit. Not only are the services from Phil a major value, but Phil himself is a doll. I honestly think of excuses to go and get some kind of treatment. He is absolutely beautiful, down to earth, and he really LISTENS to you. I feel beautiful when I leave the salon, and not just on the outside. I strongly recommend visiting Phil. You will want to send your friends. And you will feel and be gorgeous when you leave!

Pros: Phil, patience, experience, expertise, he listens, people skills, relaxed atmosphere, location, finished product, value

I have been going to Sylvia for five years now for waxing and facials. She is great! She takes pride in her work and is always on time and professional. She listens to what you need and would never steer you wrong. I am always recommending her to others and find people that are also recommending her. If someone is raving about their aesthetician, it is usually Sylvia. I will not let anyone else touch my eyebrows.

Pros: On time, professional, friendly

Cons: None!

Phil gave met the best cut and color (mine is short and blonde) I've had since living here. I can't wait to try him out at his new location. Great cut, great color, great customer service. I would follow him to the ends of the earth!

Welcome Phil! I just want to tell everyone what a great stylist Phil Reed is - Look no further ladies! (and guys) You know how it goes, you hop all over to find the salon you like, then you decide your stylist is just OK. No one notices the routine hair maintenance - you always look the same! Then it's time for a change and you don't know where to go, so you ask around and everyone says the same thing - I go to ^^^^^^ and they do an OK job, not really all that happy. Things are different when Phil cuts your hair! I believe 1/2 of Salon Jacks success was because of this Master Hair stylist. Not only does he have the knowledge and finess, but the personality to go along with it! He has done wonders with my hair and I have referred many many friends his way! He is truly remarkable - I'm not giving this one up!

Pros: Stylish, not pushy, priced reasonable, great atmoshphere and conversation!

Cons: a little bit of a drive, recommend making next appt. before you leave

The first time I got my eyebrows waxed was at JCon which turned out to be a horror story (they were very round and uneven). I was terrified to have anyone touch them until I met Sylvia at Salon Jim Botts. She is very experienced, professional, great personality and is highly recommended. She listened to what I wanted and assured me that she will fix them and make them look perfect. She definitely delivered!!! After growing my brows some she arched my brows better than I expected. She is absolutely wonderful. They look perfect everytime. I will never let anyone else touch my brows again and have since followed her to Finley & Phillips. I receive many compliments and brag about her all the time. Believe me, she is the best (and I am very picky). So, if you're looking to have celebrity brows, Sylvia is the one to see. **Her facials are awesome too.

I followed Sylvia from her previous location because she is the best eyebrow waxer in town! She is always professional and on time (which can be an issue in salons). I never have to wonder if she will do an adequate job. I don't trust ANYONE else with my eyebrows. Although I have never personally had my hair done at this particular venue, Sylvia says the stylists come highly recommended. And she takes her recommendations very seriously. Thank you Sylvia, and thank you Finley & Phillips for snatching up the best brow waxer around! *Update* Sylvia recommended Phil to give me a haircut, and I must say she did not disappoint! Phil was very kind and easy to talk to. I had no idea what I wanted, and he took the ball and ran with it! I couldn't be more impressed. I have already recommended him to all my girlfriends. Thanks again Miss Sylvia!
