I??????ve always worn my hair relatively long and was very apprehensive about cutting my hair. I mentioned this to my niece who booked me an appointment with Jomana. Her confidence and natural ability to listen and assure me gave me the extra push I needed to really get the haircut I??????d been wanting for a long time. I cut my long hair into a cute ??????bob?????? which everyone always compliments. I went from getting a cut/trim twice a year to sporting a new hairstyle every 3 months. This is the effect that this talented hairstylist has! BTW ?????? My niece is also a regular of Jomana??????s!

I was a walk in looking for a stylist that could do fusion hair extensions, and the receptionist said one of the owners micheal could give me a consultation right then. Micheal took about 30min and asked me exactly what look i wanted to acheive and what my long term goals for my hair were. Since I am currently a bleached blonde he decided on 3 different shades of blonde extentions to match my hair. When he put the extentions in it only took a few hours and they blend perfectly! I only wish i could have found the salon and micheal sooner! The professionalism is great, the time and attention to detail is great! Very friendly great atmosphere, i couldnt ask for more in a salon, and the prices are very resonable!

I had my hair colored and cut here and I've honestly never received more compliments on my hair. The nurse at my doctors office even told me she loved my hair--that NEVER happens! This is the only place I'll trust to color my hair, and with the most awesome salon staff, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I go to school in California and I'm actually waiting to get my hair done just so I can get it done at Carmichael's.
My new favorite stylist at my new favorite salon...

Go in and see jomana...i promise u wont be disappointed...she did an amazing job on my hair, and it was just a simple haircut. i normally dont spend time writing reviews like this, but i was so impressed by the results that i just wanted to tell any and everyone...the whole staff there is great and the atmosphere is one of a kind and funky...i will definitely be going back to see my new hairstylist again soon!

I just got my hair cut not a few days ago, by the best hairdresser in the WORLD!! I was recommended by my roommate who had fallen in love with the hair cut she got. She told me to go book with "JUJU"!! I have long curly hair, and when i told her that i wanted to make sure i kept the length but add more texture and volume to it, she knew exactly what to do. She definitely knows what she is doing. Amazing personality and if you go i'm sure you'll have the best haircut experience ever. I told my friends about her and told them to go. sure enough they went and they were ALL pleased. Unlike other hair stylists who are only good with one certain hair type and create the same style over and over again, JUJU actually listens to the style you want and keeps in mind the florida weather. One of my friends had gotten highlights and they were soo natural looking, i thought her hair was naturally like that!! A++++++

I was recommended by a friend to visit the salon. I needed a trim and advice on how to maintain my hair. I was more than satisfied with the service, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and most importantly my hair. My hair stylist Jomana is creative, friendly, and helpful with all my questions and concerns I had with my hair. I recommend this salon to my family and friends. If you want the latest hair sytles or just a trim, I would try this salon.

I initally began going to Carmichael's Hair Co. for a specific stylist Jomana or "JuJu" I met JuJu at a previous salon she worked for I attempted to puchase a Chi curling iron and JuJu told me it wasnt necessary she sat me down in her chair, rather than make a sale she showed me how to use the Chi flat iron I already own to acheive the curls I desired, juJu showed how genuine she is. She then proceeded to look at my hair and see that the ends were very "stringy" and thin and she suggested a trim I was very aprehensive, JuJu assured me she understood the definition of TRIM and she proved to me she does she cut off a minimal amount which wasnt even noticable and my hair look much fuller and healthier. JuJu has moved to Carmichael's Hair Co. and I moved with her, since my trim, JuJu has layered my hair, also has straighten my hair and even added extensions which I absolutely love. I enjoy the atmosphere at Carmichael's you feel extremely comfortable and relaxed which is the feel one should have when sitting in a salon. At Carmichaels they work with your schedule and are very flexable. Carmichaels Hair Co. is an excellent find, I have and will continue to recommended this to Salon to everyone.

I go to Carmichaels often to get my hair done, and I must say that I have been more pleased with the work that they do or the customer service that they offer. They are excellent in just about every aspect in terms of hair and color techniques. Carlos and Michael are wonderful hair stylists, but my favorite is Jomana or "Juju" as they call her. She has both cut and colored my hair numerous times and every single time, it is nothing less than perfection. I really love the fact that when I tell her the exact shade that I want or the exact cut that I want, she does nothing less than what I expect, and every time it just makes me appreciate her work more and more. There is nothing more frustrating than telling a hairstylist how you want your hair cut or colored, and then it turns out as if they were not listening to you from the beginning! But Jomana, does, because I have been going to her for quite some time and will never have anyone else touch my hair again! Above all, I don't know about you, but when I come to a new salon and am scheduled to a new hairstylist that I have never had before, I always take a look at their hair and style. I don't know if that makes a difference to you, but for me, it certainly does. Jomana really caught my attention when I was looking for a new hair stylist because her hair is always done so nicely and it is always different, her makeup is always done, and her choice of dress is so modern. She just had my kind of style, so that's why I thought I'd take a shot and see if her work is as up to par as her looks. Well, it certainly is because I am still going to her because I am so pleased with her amazing work! Take my word for it...go see her, she is absolutely amazing!
- Pros: excellent customer service, unique and modern atmosphere, my appointment began right on time, big lot to park car, etc.
- Cons: it's only bad if you don't give carmichaels a shot...it's your loss!

I have been to over 10 different salons in Tampa over the years. I have to say, I believe that Carmichael's was, by far, the best choice. Their staff is friendly, supportive, and extremely knowledgeable. The atmosphere is awesome; it's very trendy and upbeat! I've been there to get my hair cut, relaxed, and to have my eyebrows waxed. My hair looked absolutely perfect when it was finished. They have very talented, very professional staff over there. I believe I have found my permanent salon.

I saw this salon was highly recommended. I have to tell you, I have NO idea why. The music is loud and annoying. The personalities of everyone there was just snobby. I had my hair trimmed and colored with a few highlights and it cost me $200!!! The highlights did not even show up. The dye ruined my shirt and even soaked through the cape and ruined my bra. For two weeks to follow anything my head touched was mahogony...pillow cases, headbands, hats...UGH! I wrote a very formal letter to the owner to express my disappointment but I never heard a peep back. I suppose they do not care at all about customer service. I will never go back there nor would I send an enemy there. No one deserves that kind of hurried, overpriced, poor quality service. And if you have a pet allergy take your Benadryl because the owners have their freaky poodles in and out. Yikes!

- Cons: Overpriced, loud, bad hair dye products, tacky atmosphere, snobby staff
