Carabba's. I am writing about the carabba's in Kalamazoo, MI. And I must say, never have I ever experienced service so increadible horrible as I did here. And for sweetest day, truely i expected more. Not only was our table dirty, but I was literally "repremanded" for not having my licence on me when I asked for a glass of wine, (which would have been no big deal to me if the waitress had been nice), but I also experienced a very RUDE form of management come to my table and LECTURE me very loudly because I had expressed my feelings to the waitress of here belittlement toward me. I have to be honest, Ususally I go to Olive Garden but my hubby n I took a chance at something different. After our rather unnecessary and embarrasing debut, my hubby n I got up to leave and went to Olive Garden. Where, even on a bad day, we have always recieved good service and not a snooty belittleing waitress and management!!! I will never attend carabba's again. Its sad that such a restaurant that plays itself up in such a way knows very little about hospitality and ethic.

An open kitchen churns out wood-fired pizzas and fresh-made pastas at this casual Sicilian-American chain.. In Short
Decorated with family photos of founders Damian Mandola and Johnny Carrabba, the open dining rooms pack groups of friends and extended families into four- and six-person tables and booths; smaller parties or couples can grab stools at the open kitchen's adjoining bar to watch chefs make dinner. The traditional southern Italian menu offers grill specialties like steak Marsala and fire-roasted chicken breast with sun-dried tomatoes; pasta dishes include fettuccine Alfredo and garlic-sauteed shrimp with linguine.

It's fine. Carrabba's is all about consistency. Consistent service and food makes it appealing for people who travel alot and want no surprises. I've enjoyed their mussels in white wine sauce many times, and the Insalata Fiorucci is a quick favorite. The bread is always spot on and the service is always friendly, young and fast.

That being said - I find it dull and uninspired. They play it so safe that you're left with few choices to venture into true Italian cuisine. Chicken, chicken and more chicken.

Everything is OK. That's it. OK. And every entree I've had there is usually oversalted.

I understand why they do it.

It's a very successful chain of restaurants that most people like. But I call it "fast food."

Fowler Location. Wait was way too long, even with "call ahead seating." Waitress was slow to nonexistant and I could have done without the pretentious attitude that she and the hostess had. The food was average, not really worth the price.

Great food and service. My husband and I ate at Carrabba's is south tampa a few weeks ago for the first time. At first we were a little dissappointed about the wait time (1 hour 15 mins), but the food more than made up for it. our watier's name was Phillip and he was extremely polite from the moment we sat down. We are definitely going to be coming into this restaurant again. It was the best Italian food we've had in a while.

WONDERFUL. I was in Tampa for a week and after visiting Carrabba's once, I had to go back. The second time was even better. The lemon butter sauce is to die for!! The service wasn't the greatest, but we forgave them because of the food.
