I went to Blue Devil after we went to 4 or 5 other shops. My boyfriend was looking to cover up and old tattoo, and I wanted some stars on my foot. The second we walked in there I knew we picked the right place! They looked at his arm, drew up a pic and it was done. Took about 3 hours for his and about 30 mins for mine. His was done by a visiting artist, absolutely amazing work he did. Mine was done by Esben. First let me say what a great artist, he free handed the stars on my foot and they look amazing! I couldn't have imagined it coming out better. The staff was awesome, very clean, and great people. I am going to get another, and I will not go anywhere else now.

I came this this tattoo shop with an idea of a tattoo that ive wanted for years. More than one of the tattoo artist (including the guy in the chair) made me feel stupid about the tattoo that i wanted. For as much money as they wanted for a tattoo the size of quarter/half dollar they shouldve been more than happy to do my tattoo. I was happy that i decided to not get tattooed here. After I decided to not go here I met a girl who had a few tattoos from here and she HATED them. She was told me she was trying to figure out what she could cover the tattoo up with. And it wasnt even the choice of tattoo its how bad it was. SO, IN OTHER WORDS DONT GO HERE FOR SOMETHING THAT IS GOING TO BE ON YOU BODY FOR THE REST OF YOU LIFE.
Gives a whole new meaning to what you might think about tattoo shops

OK first let me say EVERYONE I talked to about getting tattooed suggested Blue Devil in Ybor. I thought I had good tattoos on my body but after getting 1 from Blue Devil I will never go anywhere else! I am even having some of the ones I got at other places covered up by them. Soon as I opened the door it smelled super clean and was spotless. The guy at the counter was very polite, helpful , and very knowlegable. Other times ive been in shop its like you have to pull teeth to get help or they seem rude and like your wasting their time or something but not here! these guys and girls were the best! from start to finish its a pleasure every time. I've been tattooed by Jennifer Lynn, Ed-E and Esben so far an each of them were great people and did an amazing job on my tattoo work. Took a friend in last month an he got a really cool tattoo by a guest artist named Thomas, I thought it was cool how they have different and very talented guest artist each month.I cant say enough about this shop!! Its always a pleasure and now that I have been there a few times they treat me like part of the family and always hook me up!! keep up the amazing job guys!! sure ill be seeing you again soon..
- Pros: perfect place for a perfect tattoo shop and staff
- Cons: there can be a long wait on the weekends but what do you expect? they rock! I find for my larger tattoos weekdays are more relaxed

I had my 1st tattoo done by Esben at Blue Devil Tattoos. He was very professional, pleasant, and he did a great job on my tattoo (a rose on my wrist). He made me feel very comfortable during the process. The studio is clean; the staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back to Blue Devil if I decide to have another tattoo!

Blue Devil is deffinitly the place to go if you want Clean,Quality tattoos or piercings.I went in the shop [after quite a few people had told me to go there] to get monroes.Everyone was really nice,the shop is extremly clean and I felt more than willing to let the Piercer,Krystal,stick needles in my face.My piercing did not swell or anything.Unlike alot of tattoo shops,Blue Devil is loyal to the clients and know what they are doing.Out of the 6 friends that have gotten pierced/tattooed at Blue Devil,Not one of them has had a bad experience.I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!
- Pros: it was clean,everyone was extremly friendly and knowledgable
- Cons: none at all.

I had to write it for all of you to see. I just moved to Brandon from Maine. I had a tattooer in my home town so when I moved here I had to find another. This shop isnt the only tattoo place I went into but the only one I went back to. I love my tattoos and the nipple piercings. So if your not sure where to go. Its worth it to go by. Tell them I told you to. Kissy

My family and I have been getting tattoos at Blue Devil in Ybor now for 10+ yrs. Combined, we have gotten about 30 from the artists there. All VERY well done, EXCELLENT quality and they take their time and listen to what YOU want. They are a little* more priceier than others, but i tell you what- they dont skimp on quality. I HIGHLY recommend!!! Dont let the neighborhood fool you (Ybor can be WILD at night) Very very clean and courteous.

The Blue Devil has a cool atmosphere about it; not to mention that it is most definitely the cleanest shop in Tampa Bay. I arrived shortly after opening with a design I wanted to get done. They not only drew it up for me, but also squeezed me into the schedule so I could get it done that same day; which was great considering it took about 2 hours to complete. Esben was probably one of the coolest dudes I had ever met; very relaxed but also funny. He made the whole experience one I'll never forget, and the 2 hours felt more like 20 minutes. For all my future tattoo's, I will heading straight back to the blue devil and hoping back into Esben's chair to get another awesome piece done. I highly highly highly recommend!!!

Ive been getting tattoos and peircings from blue devil for like ever. The finished product has never let me down. Sometimes you just have to make some bad chioces until you see the light. Crappy work, means expensive cover ups believe me. I like to gather up my drawings and pictures and bring them in, some people arent up for that or too lazy to draw, I dont know what it is. I guess at blue devil they are a little more artistic. I have always loved the staff. Cute little piercer, Krystal , I hope I spelled that right. She is so sweet and very patient with us nervous types. I love my new piercing, there was like 6 of us. We all got something, well all be back. I bring everyone here.
- Pros: cutest staff. great plugs and sweet jewelry. its in ybor, yet its clean
- Cons: the wild chickens outside

I have always heard about Blue Devil but never wanted a tattoo. So when I finally decided to get one I asked around and all I heard from EVERYONE was blue devil this blue devil that, blue devil,blue devil,blue devil!!! So my obvious choice was the well know and highly reccomended blue devil tattoo gallery in ybor city. The moment I walked in I was very impressed!!! I opened the front door after locating it by the cool exterior and coolneon signs and it looked and even smelled sterile. Its not at all what I pictured a tattoo shop to look like. Very big and every inch of the walls are covered with tattoos and beautiful paintings. The staff said hello and asked me if I needed any help the moment I walked in, not pushy but very nice and helpfull. I browsed for a bit and got a few ideas then explained to them what I was looking for and the guy at the counter(think his name was Adam) listened to me and helped nail down my idea and while he was getting things for me to look at he told me to pick an artist if I wanted to. After looking thru all the amazing artist portfolios I told him anyone of them would be fine, I mean the amazing tattoos all of them did blew me away! I knew I made a perfect choice in going there for my tattoo. About 10 mins later Adam came back with Ed who has over 15 yrs exp. tattooing & introduced me. Everyone was really polite! Ed and I talked and he then drew a tattoo just for me and it was absolutley gorgeous! He took a few minutes to set up and then we got started. I had a blast getting tattooed and talking and laughing with everyone in the shop. It was all so fun I hardly felt the tattoo and a while later it was done. Ed's tattoo he did on me was Flawless! I'm am so happy and it looks amazing! Ed was the best and now I am also one of those people talking about blue devil! I'm sure he has 100's already but he now has 1 more loyal customer. I won't go any where else & when people ask about my beautiful tattoo I tell them all about blue devil!!
