They not only have great customer service, they have the best cuban bread in tampa

by isael12452

This Bakery is great. The people there are fantastic and they help you out with what to chose. From they worm tasty cuban bread or the fresh pastry's. I have been going to the bakery sence i was about 3. And they only get better as the years go by. The lady Sheila that works there has been there for about 34 years and she loves the bakery with all her heart! She is happy to go to work every day just so she can make her customers happy!

I give the Bakery 5 stars they Deserve it!

Don't listen to someone that can't spell from Miami

by cubansandwichguru

This person can't even spell bakery. States that the people can't speak Spanish there and are on a work release program. Ok we all know that the best cuban bread is made in Tampa and we have the best sandwiches. So cubanito go back to Miami or climb aboard your Banana boat and be ordered around by Castro.

Stay Away

by cubanito1971

OK I am Cuban, this place is not. Its gheetto and I just got back from there...no one spoke Spanish in the place, thats a bad sign. I dont care about a places history, I care about its product. I ordered Guava Pastelitos, they were awful. The lady was rude and the customers in the place were on a work release program...or so it seemed. I gues my search for decent Cuban Bakerise in Tampa continue.

  • Pros: none I can think of
  • Cons: everything about the place

The bakery churns out 6,000 loaves daily, but you only need one to appreciate these authentic Cuban delights.

In Short
The third-generation owners of La Segunda have reason to be proud of the thin, flaky crust and the soft, pillowy interior of their archetypal Cuban bread, even more so when piled high with tangy pork and zesty Genoa salami (a strictly Tampa twist). They can also be proud of the 125 different pastries made on the premises, from Cuban sugar cookies to flaky turnovers that cradle fragrant guava filling.
