Delicious Bar-B-Que

Wholly Smokes is the best kept secret in town. The food is delicious, the service is great and the atmosphere relaxed. I have eaten at Wholly Smokes numerous times and the food has always been wonderful. The prices are great, too.

The Scene

The unmistakable scent of Wholly Smokes can be detected from miles away. Inside, you'll find a

collection of simple wooden tables and big takeout counter with a minimum of

fuss and no frills. It's a great place to pick up food for an impromptu

picnic.

The Food

Good barbecue, Alabama-style, with tomatoey red sauce and the usual sides: potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw and corn of the cob. This is

all-American food with a vengeance. Try the excellent combo plate-chicken,

pork ribs and sliced beef and pork.
