I went to this doctor the entire time I was in need of a pediatrician. He was always very professional and helpful. I had a number of siblings so we felt like we were always at the doctors with one of us, but he was always wonderful to us all. He really knows kids and has a knack at knowing what ails them. If you are in need of a great pediatrician, here is the man for you!

Avoid this office

This pediatrician was recommended to us by my ob/gyn. I'm about to call her and let her know that she should stop referring her patients to this office. My primary complaints about this office:

1. The office's waiting rooms are always crowded, noisy and uncomfortable. I have waited over an hour for every appointment I've had there during the past year except for one occassion when my child was in visible distress. These longs waits were standard even after I was told that infants under 6 months of age are seen immediately. I can attest that in the first 6 months of my child's life, we never waited less than an hour to be moved to an exam room.

2. The front office staff is extremely rude and I have never seen such awful behavior in a doctor's office. I have repeatedly seen the front office staff talk down to parents, ignore them, raise their voices to them, roll their eyes, and scold them loudly for having outstanding bills or not filling in a form correctly. On one occassion I listened as a patient's mother voiced a complaint to the girl behind the front counter who was making no effort to hide her bad attitude. Eventually the patient's mother became frustrated and turned to walk out of the office. It was then that the girl behind the counter stood up and called out mockingly "Have a nice day, ma'am!". She sat down smugly

The doctors are fine, the nurses are great, but the front office staff will treat you rudely while you wait and wait and wait. This place is not worth it when there are so many more pediatricians in the area.

Look for a place where you and your child will feel welcome.

• Pros: Dr. Valdes is a nice man but he's out of touch with his staff
• Cons: Long waits, chronically rude staff, cramped waiting room
