Grossly Misrepresented

I saw this on the list of Citysearch's top ten for Tampa and had to get my opinion out there. Do NOT recommend. I went in the first time and asked for a simple half-head highlight and tiny trim (I was growing my hair out). The color was mediocre, the cut was horrible. She cut the sides of my hair so short that I had to go to another salon and get it fixed- resulting in inches of hair being chopped off, even though I told the original stylist I was growing it out. I also showed her where I part my hair on the side, and she cut it with a middle part, so that when I styled my hair to the side, it looked uneven. They do not listen, they do not care. I can't say it enough- do NOT GO HERE.

I WENT TO GO TOO MY HAIR APPT AND NOOOOOOOOOOOO PHONE CALL TO TELL ME THE PLACE WAS SHUT DOWN FOR NOT PAYING THE BILLS....WTF???? WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS WAS THIS. THE OWNER DAVID WAS REALLY GROSS AND ALWAYS LOOKED LIKE HE WAS ON DRUGS, ZOOMING AROUND THE SALON BACK AND FORTH ALL SWEATY AND SNIFFING ALL THE TIME. MAKES U WONDER ....WHAT REALLY SENT HIM OUT OF BUSINESS....HE HAD ALOT OF TURNOVER!!!!! ONLY LIKE TWO PEOPLE THERE REALLY KNEW HOW TO CUT /COLOR HAIR...HE IS SUCH A LOSER!!! THANKS FOR CALLING UR CUSTOMERS THAT DAY..U WEASEL.........U GOT WHAT U DESERVED...EVICTED..

BEWARE - David Andrew a.k.a. Details Salon

David Andrew has re-branded themselves Details Salon. Buyer Beware! Never have called to tell me where their new location is and I was a customer there for over 5 years! Here today.......gone tomorrow. Good cuts once........crap cuts now. I will NEVER go back to that salon. Looking for a GOOD salon, try Bentley in Tampa - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

I had a 9:00 appt today, I drove all the way from New Tampa for. I get there and there is an eviction notice on the front door. The place is cleaned out! I didn't even get a courtesy phone call to tell me they were out of busines? This place used to be so good - in recent years they have had several staff turnovers and things just fell apart. It doesn't seem that they had any type of recovery plan. You could tell David was struggling to keep the doors open. He used to have the team trained on cutting techniques, color, etc...all that seems to have fallen by the wayside. What stylists don't realize is that people can live with not so perfect color but a bad cut is not something that can be tolerated. The salons I visit always want to push the colorists, I always tell them that it doesn't matter how well it is colored, if it isn't cut right it will never look good.

What a disappointment this salon has become.

Dissapointed.. got wrong stylist

Was my first visit, I was terrible disappointed, The place was recommended by my neighbor, her hair always looks great. I got some one new Selena. Young girl while she does a good hair cut it wasn't for me. I am in my 50's she does younger folks styles.

Used to be a happy customer...not anymore!

I'd been a customer for years with Natalie, who was a fabulous hair stylist. However, I recently received services from Selena and left disgusted. The color washed out of my hair the following night and with my roots showing I went in to see her to see how we may be able to fix it. She ran her fingers through my hair for ten minutes telling me she had warned me that this would happen. So, why would have spent over $100 for that???!!! I was insulted at her attempt to convince me we'd had a discussion that we in fact had not. In addition, I left with my hair smelling of terrible smoke that seemed to fill my car. My husband commented on the foul odor as soon as I got home that evening. I was completely disgusted. Needless to say I am shopping around for a new salon.

SAVE YOUR TIME & YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!

Time is money, and I for one was very unhappy with my service in the salon. I had acrylic nails put on. During the service I felt as if i was a rag doll with all the pulling that went on. When the service was done i was cut and bleeding on four of my fingers. I was told that "that is the price we pay to look beautiful." While having a facial I inquired if my face should feel as though it was burning. The facial specialist quickly put a cool wet towel on my face and began wiping off the solution. I currently am seeing a dermatologist because of that particular facial.

I did a little investigation into the good and the bad write ups on this page. Looks like someone from the inside is doing a little writing of their own using faults email accounts.

Best hair sevice in Brandon

Never had a better hair cut. Shop was clean and spacious but very busy. I was served coffee and snack while I waited. The wait time was less than 5 minutes. I would recommend this salon to anyone with confidence and know they would be satisfied with any of their services. Great place!
