Don't Waste Your Money - It's a PIT. Paid way too much money for a horrible experience. Everything is broken, and there is very little to do. What there is to do has little educational or fun value. My kids ages 4-12 hated it and were bored. I was shocked at how dirty the place was, especially the area for the toddlers and little kids. The baby area had visible dirt on the toys. Just gross. We left after an hour.

Hands-on exhibits, nature trails, and a mind-blowing IMAX Dome Theatre for kids of all ages.. Overview
The under-five set enjoys their own supervised play area, freeing older family members to hike adjoining nature trails, chase butterflies or ride the new high-wire bike. For more thrills, Florida's first IMAX Dome Theatre features bigger-than-life movies. An 82-foot-high curved screen makes you feel like you're in the movie rather than just watching it.

The Experience
Get set for a bad hair day when encountering hurricane winds at MOSI. The Gulf Coast Hurricane blows you away with 74-mile-per-hour blasts that build slowly before dissipating. Hold on to your hat and watch others get wind-whipped or tackle the hundreds of interactive exhibits that fill both buildings--but only after you get past the two huge dinosaurs guarding the lobby entrance. These skeletons tower more than three stories high and rank among the world's biggest.

MOSI. I used to enjoy MOSI every once ina while. Then managament made moves that disappointed me greatly. The first was the cancelation of the laser light shows. The shows were ALWAYS packed when I attended, so I doubt they were not money makers.

I have been unimpressed with the old wing of MOSI for years now. Most of the exhibits are obsolete, and half of them were broken during my past few visits. After visits to other museums, the lack of relevance of MOSI to Florida's science and industry fields is apparent. No attention is paid to the mining or agriculture industries.

Educational and Fun in one stop.. MOSI has the Largest Dome IMAX theater in the Southeastern United States. That coupled with all the historic, futuristic, and scientific educational attractions makes this stop one that will jog your memory banks for years to come.
