Very rude and unwelcoming. I was in the mood of sushi today, so I thought I would try Hiro's. This is a mistake I will never make again! While the sushi appetizer was great, the service was appalling.

I went in at about 2:30 p.m. and no one greeted me at the door. This was not that big of a deal as the restaurant was very slow with only about three tables. However, I stood there for about two minutes and not even the sushi chiefs said a word to me. I eventually, just walk up to the sushi bar and sat myself.

A few minutes my server server, we will call her "P" came by and took my drink order. She came back a few minutes later just to tell me they were out of Coke, so I ordered Iced-Tea instead. I did get my drink relativity quickly, and I placed my order for the sushi appetizer.

She places my order and comes right back a few minutes later and ask what else I would like. Then, this conversation transpired.

Me: "I am not sure, everything looks so good. This is my first time here, what would you recommend that is going to blow me away?"

P: "Nothing, we do not have any type of specialty rolls. All of our rolls are very basic."

Me: "Oh...well then what is popular?"

P: "The TNT and ( I can not remember the second one she told me)

Me: "Ok, well I think I am going to need a few more minutes."

P: "Ok, but I have to leave by three," then she walked away.

A few moments later, my appetizer arrives and my tea is at the refill point. She dropped of the appetizer and never asked if I wanted a refill.

After that I finished my appetizer sucked on my ice and cashed out. I will never go back there again.

WORST PLACE EVER!. This place is beyond awful! I went there last night for the first time ever to celebrate a friend's birthday. I was under the impression I was going to a Hibachi restaurant, not a CLUB! I walk in, the music is SO LOUD you have to scream to the person next to you, and it's really dark. It's a night club. We waited about 10 minutes to get a table, which was fine, but once we sat down, it was a DISASTER! 1 hour and 45 minutes later, we have no sushi, empty glasses, asked for service every 20 minutes, and finally were on our way out the door. We had asked for a manager 5 different times, and when she finally appeared, she was wearing a t-shirt and jeans and didn't care that we were unhappy with our experience or service. She gave me a condescending smile and nodded her head saying "sushi takes an hour." Really? She never showed her face again, didn't apologize for the experience, didn't offer to comp ANYTHING from our check, she just didn't care! Did I mention that the party next to us who sat down way after we did, enjoyed their meal, drinks, dessert, and a photo shoot with the server, while we sat there waiting, and waiting, and waiting...We too were celebrating our friend's birthday, we had about 15 people with us, and some of the people with us were really good friends with the owner...so, you'd think and expect superior service, right? Not the case last night...if I can save you the hassle of waiting, starving, dehydrating, and loosing your hearing and voice all in the matter of 2 hours, DO NOT EAT HERE! YOU WILL NOT BE APPRECIATED, SO WHY SHOULD YOU GIVE THEM YOU HARD EARNED MONEY?! ***DISKLIKE****

Bugs and Sushi. Cannot believe the filth. The floor is sticky as was the table and menus. We used to love this place, I even have a loyalty card (I turned it in). We ordered wine and my wife looked over and a German cockroach was crawling on the wall, in daylight! Imagine when the lights go out. We notified the waitress and the the manager didn't even come out. We were asked if we still wanted to eat.......with the creature still on the table smashed in a napkin. RIP HIro's.

Go Early. Awesome food, crappy service and loud crappy music. Is it a restaurant or a club? My wifes food (sushi) came about 15 minutes after mine and the order was wrong. The music was soo loud we had to shout at each other. It was l;ike a dance club with food and no dance floor. :-(

Awesome sushi. Hiro's always has fresh sushi that is so tasty. I even love baby octopus in a roll and they made a roll just for me to accomodate my tastes. After ten they have half price sushi on all rolls and drinks. The best part is it's not on seafood they are "trying to get rid of". I've always had a good experience with the sushi. I've had better hibachi. Just know that if you go for half price sushi it's busy busy busy and you will be waiting for a while for food, so order all the rolls you think you may want at the same time. It's definitely worth the wait!

Good enough. About what I expected. Ate there last night and the food was good and the prices are okay. Will be back again.
