Worst Customer Service Ever!!!!!

I just tried to get an oil change at this Goodyear Tire Store. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! NEVER GO THERE FOR ANT REASON!!!!! They ignored me for more than 15 minutes and I REALLY hate to wait. Then, I clearly asked for an "oil change AND TIRE ROTATION." I had a coupon for $17.95, and the sign on the wall said clearly that tire rotations are FREE. After making me wait, he did not bother to LISTEN to my request (another big pet peeve of mine) and asked me if I wanted to add a tire rotation for $5 extra! WHAT!!!! Does he even know the meaning of the word "FREE"? After all of this, he actually had the nerve to call me nasty! As if I care what a nasty person like him could think of me! Needless to say, I called Goodyear Corporate office and complained. Really, with customer service this bad (and those SUPER NICE employees at Tires Plus, just around the corner) HOW ARE THEY EVEN STIL IN BUSINESS?!?!?

Give 'em a try

I just moved to Brandon and bought a car from my neighbor. He suggested Long Tire in Brandon as he had work done there and was happy with the service. I was apprehensive about taking my car there after reading the reviews posted. I figured I would take the car there for one fix and see how they run their business. Now after taking my car there for four more items I am very satisfied with the people and quality of work. Terry, the manager, is one of the most up front shop people I've ever done business with. Terry never pressures me into repairs that the car may need, he always gives me a heads up that a service will be needed in the future. This is not up-selling, it is looking out for my best interest by making sure my car is as reliable and safe as possible. Terry always has given me the best prices he can and explains every repair in detail. I trust Long Tire and Auto completely and won't take my car any place else. Give 'em a chance and I think you will be satisfied with their service.

Great service, definitely recommended

The guys at this Goodyear are wonderful! I needed and alternator and battery replaced and everywhere we went was going to charge us over 700 dollars! I've had good experiences at this goodyear in the past so we decided to bring our vehicle to them. they not only made sure to beat the prices of everyone else, but they also were incredibly nice and knowledgable. I'm not a mechanic so I don't know about the quality of their work but I can definitely say that we've not had another problem with our alternator or battery. We will always go back to this Goodyear.

responsive to customer concerns

we have serviced at tthis Long tire in Valrico for a number of years. i was surprised when we recently brought one of our cars for a grease and oil and we were charged full price. as regular customers we were always given the best or current coupon price available.

today when i spoke with the people at long they apologized, noted in our customer file that we were to be given the current coupon price on service and provided price relief for our last service. while unhappy that we had to bring this to their attention we were quite pleased with the responsiveness of their employees and manager to rectify this charge and provide relief for the future.

i would also add that at the time i voiced this concern they were providing a free check of my tires and nitrogen top off to fix a low tire pressure reading.

overall over the past ten years our experiences here have been positive or we would not keep coming back.

AVOID: LONG Automotive

STAY AWAY ! ! ! ! I took my car in for one issue and they called back a few hours later telling me I needed a bunch of alternate services done besides the original problem i took the car in for....power steering flush, brake flush, intake cleaning.....blah, blah, blah.

As i realize i was being upsold a bunch of products & services I may or may not need, i erred on the side of safety as it's my wife & kids daily driver, and had the services performed. Or so i thought.

A few months later i took the car to Tire Kingdom on 60 to get my power window fixed. They called me back and tried to upsell me on all the extra services I had just gotten done at Long four months earlier. As i thought TK was scamming me, i went down and they showed me a test kit that verified all the services i had done at long less than 3000 miles ago needed to be rendered as my brake fluid & power steering fluid was horrid and clearly never changed or serviced as i paid Long to do.

I took the test kit & my invoice to Long and they gave me a bunch of double talk and offered to "redo" the work. Funny, I thought the $600 i originally paid included "the work", without having to bring the vehicle back in later for the work to be "really done." Long refused to reimburse me for the money i had paid them for the services they DID NOT render.

As for TK, i'm not sure they're all clean either. It sounds like a bunch of guys who used to work at long left and are now at TK and there is big friction between the two companies. if you need something done on your car, major or minor, (i hate taking minor stuff to Rick) avoid all these national chain joints and call Rick's Automotive. 684-0155. He will fix your car right and won't try to upsell you a bunch of BS you don't need.
