Sorry Excuse For Italian Food. I am usually very forgiving because I am a chef. But Mezzaluna (in my opinion) was so bad, un-fresh and meals so poorly put together that I felt it was my duty to tell you about the meals my 3 friends and I had. I need to say that I talked to the kid that was cooking in the kitchen and he said the owner Michele created the menu and he has to do it her way. So my obvious question was is the owner a chef? NO! It seems that her brother in law, a coach, setup the menu and ordered all the frozen items on the menu.

The sauce was over heated and the only flavor came from being in the steam table for days! The calzone had 2 tablespoons of ricotta and 1 pound of some cheese I could not recognize. The cook kid said it was cheddar. That explains why the (frozen, Mr G) boxed eggplant was so greasy and flavorless at the same time. I had the spinach salad, the unwashed, un crisy, un-fresh sandy spinach salad told me that there was no leader, no chef and no direction in this disappointment of a business. There are way to many good places then to fall prey this kind of garbage.
