excellent groomer and staff. one lucky dog has the best groomer,shadoe,who really cares for your dog. our princess ann,a hi strung cocker spainal, loves going to have herself pampered for one hour or so.she is not in a cage but roams around the grooming area and gets tp play with other dogs her size. the staff really makes appointments so big dogs are not with the small to med size dogs. the boutique has so many cute and different items, better than a pet store and reasonable pricing. jaimie and staff, keep up the great work on caring for our dogs and cats. i cannot say enough about shadow, excellent.. cmauk

One Lucky Dog. We have been taking our Maltese, Tidbit, to One Lucky Dog for the past four years. Our dog is very shy and had difficulty socializing with other dogs. The staff of One Lucky Dog has gone out of their way to make him feel comfortable while he is there for grooming or shopping. He now enters One Lucky Dog with no coaxing and has befriended several other dogs. He always comes out looking like a show dog!

On a personal note, the staff of One Lucky Dog always warmly welcomes us and is eager to provide guidance and assistance. We feel very fortunate the day we walked into the store and met the owner, Jaime Calderbank.

dog heaven. i purchased the no pull harness, i hv corgi's which just about pull my arms out. The staff fitted the harness perfectly to my dogs..i didn't have to do a thing. I took my worst puller out for a walk..within 2 blocks..NO PULLING! the leash ws even slack, it ws a total night and day difference...what a pleasure to go for walks now.....the staff is pleasant and knowlegable...my terrier is also groomed here as well....they always do exactly what i want with no trauma to my baby...i could not be any more pleased....and the pet corrector is SO WONDERFUL!!!! it has totally corrected the raucous barking by my 3 guys in no time at all with no harm to them. I LOVE THIS PLACE

A Dog's Home Away From Home. You wont find a better qualified group of gals to take care of your pet's grooming and shopping needs. I have been taking my dogs (and cat) here for 3 years, and have never been anything but pleased with the results. All three of my girls get SO excited once they realize where they are. For them it is a fun playdate with Missy and Shadoe! They are without a doubt the most loving groomers in town! I can't believe anyone could truly have a bad experience here. You just have to see for yourself!

We love this place ,,,,!!!!!!. We have been taking our dog here for years and it's great ! It's an adorable shop and all the girls are very friendly and ready to help. We have a big dog and we get him groomed there .... They always do such angreat job and marly is always so happy when I come to pick him up ! I live 20 minutes away and I drive just to go here !

P.s they do not let dogs run wild in the back while being groomed . And you are always more then welcome to pick your dog up and then pay that's how we have always done it there .

Best Groomers and Boutique!!. I have been taking my two dogs to One Lucky Dog for grooming for the past three years and have always been very pleased with there hair cuts, they smell so good and are so soft and it last weeks. Not only that but they get so excited when we pull into the parking lot, they love to go there and play with the other dogs!! They enjoy the great variety of food and treats and I love the adorable doggie clothes!! I love shopping there!! Always a fun and positive experience.

Horrible behind the scenes Does Not Control Animals. During a recent visit my 26lb dog was attacked by a 65lb dog. Prior to taking our dog there we met with the owner and asked that our dog not be placed with unfamiliar dogs. We were assured this would not happen. Six unfamiliar dogs roaming uncontrolled. My dog was wet with soap in fur and nails only partially completed. His underside was shaved and his belly cut. My dog was shaking when I picked him up. I was asked to pay before I saw the dog so I had no recourse. This was our first and last time. There are far better groomers out there. Dont waste the time submitting your pet to this horrible place. I Do not recommend

Bad Groom, HORRIFIC Customer Service. I took my year old Morkie to be groomed for the 1st (and only!) time at One Lucky Dog on Tuesday, March 8th 2011-He was scheduled with Missy. We've recently moved, and our usual, *awesome* groomer is now appx 25 mins away. So, we decided to try One Lucky Dog. And oh, how I wish we hadn't!

I explained how he should be cut & I SPECIFICALLY told Missy to be extra careful with his face.

When I picked him up, I didn't inspect him closely because he was having fun playing with the other dogs. Paid $50 for the groom, tipped $5, purchased another appx $20 of food and treats, & left.

Got home (appx 10 mins later) & saw that his body was FAR shorter than I'd originally seen! I called & asked them to make a note on his card not to cut him that short again, for next time. NOT complaining yet-because I figured this could be subjective-still fully intending to bring him back next time.

Except for his first groom (the last time he was "butchered"-that took us 8 months to grow out!) I've never had an issue with groomers understanding my instructions before! Still, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.

About 15 mins later, my fiance pointed out that his face was bad, too. Sure enough, his face was choppy, uneven, clipper marks in his fur could actually be seen! Stains under his eyes. Jagged edges from clippers EVERYWHERE. Just horrible.

So I arranged to bring him back Thurs at 11:30 AM so they could take a look. Arrived today at 11:20 and were told that the owner, Jaime, would be coming in to meet with us. She didn't arrive until 11:40, and even after that, ignored me & talked on the phone to someone else until appx 11:50.

I started to point out where he was shaved too closely, where his face was chopped up, within mere moments-before I could finish explaining!- She said, "I don't think we're going to be able to please you." and started w/excuses for why he was so short. "Young dogs don't sit still" She even admitted that "It is a little uneven on the sides but..." never offered anything to correct the situation!

I was shocked and getting emotional, so I got out my camera and showed her photos of his last 3 grooms by 2 different groomers. (Where he wasn't cut too short. Where his fur was blended and even. So obviously my "young" - 1 year old- dog IS able to sit still.) She said there was no difference in length from the photos she saw and his fur today- When CLEARLY there's at least an inch of difference! She also insisted that he looks better now-W/jagged edges and zigzags cut into the fur between his eyes-than in my multitude of prior photos!

I attempted to defuse her a little and A: Said that a miscommunication could be at fault for his BODY. So B: Asked for only $15 or $20 returned instead of the whole fee, which I felt was fair since it's only his head and face that are unquestionably THEIR fault! I also asked her to please not be so defensive, to stop talking down to me like a child, and to please be reasonable. She still refused.

Finally, she offered to let one of her "senior" groomers try to fix the blending issues, but I couldn't let ANY of her employees hack up his fur any further! I left. Leaving behind on the counter another $40 of merchandise that I was going to purchase before I was treated so horribly!

The owner of One Lucky Dog is EASILY the rudest, most unprofessional, unreasonable business owner that I've EVER met! It's a beautiful store, great selection of products & possibly the nicest front desk employees (the employees! NOT the owner!) one could imagine. But I'll never go back, and I'll tell everyone I know about my awful experience at One Lucky Dog. Wish I'd never gone in the first place.
