Travellers Beware. This hotel is a beautiful property with a fantastic restaurant that is well known in Tampa. For locals who know how to get to the hotel and have their own transportation, it is a great place to catch the sunset from the top floor bar. Unfortunately, this hotel has absolutely NO access by foot to anything other than the hotel property. It is surrounded by highways and Tampa Int'l airport. The hotel does not provide an ongoing guest shuttle service and cab service is non-existent. Being 5 minutes from the airport, it is so rare for a hotel this large not to have a taxi stand! Recently, we waited almost one hour on a Saturday night after the bellman called for a taxi. If you choose to stay, be sure to ask for a room facing West!

Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

A view just five minutes from Tampa International Airport.. The Scene
With 22,000 square-feet of meeting space, this hotel is one of the most popular sites in the area for fly-in conferences and business get-togethers. The views here are extremely scenic, especially from the top floor boardroom. A $10-million facelift completed January 2003 included a name change--it was formerly the Hyatt Regency Westshore. Proximity to Tampa Bay makes for a leisurely stay, as well.

The Details
Don't let all the suits and attache cases put you off. Social events are often held in the 10,000-plus-square-foot ballroom. The 445 guest rooms and 23 suites have new granite bathroom interiors, as well as new wall and bed coverings. Outside, the grounds offer 35 acres of waterfront acreage with well-manicured lawns and natural mangroves. It's a great place for nature strolls.
