Great place. I cannot say enough good things about the Eye Doctor of New Tampa. When I walked in everyone was happy and friendly. The exam was quick and easy with some extra exams to make sure that everything looked good. Then Jason and his team worked with me for a long time to make sure I picked out the perfect frames and glasses for me. Even after all of that they still work hard every day to make sure that I am a happy customer when I walk in. They have completed eye exams for both my parents and ordered 4 to 6 pairs of sunglasses for my mother to try before she found the ones she loved. A few months after my initial visit I had some issues with my eyes and when I called to let them know what had happened the DOCTOR called me back in less than two hours to check on me. I will never buy another pair of glasses from another place. Thank you so much for all your help and patience with me.…
Mickey Mouse Operation.
What a colossal waste of time. How can one justify spending well over two hours in an optical office?
I've worn contacts since the 5th grade, and I'm now an adult...no exam has ever encompassed such a vast quantity of my valuable time. After filtering in many patients in between my seperate exam portions rather than just finishing out each patient's visit completely and seperately....it seems that I was forgotten. Or perhaps my time just wasn't as valuable as those bringing in hoardes of screaming children? Who knows.
Additionally, after attempting to order contacts online, my order was summarily rejected by the office. They did not bother to contact me about the issue in any way. After I left a voicemail on their machine, I received ZERO contact from them for two weeks. Finally I called back, incensed, only to find out that the kindly doctor had left a note on my file regarding the issue. Thanks for letting me know personally, doc.
An absolute Mickey Mouse Operation. If you can't handle how large your business has become, take fewer appointments, hire more people.... do something other than the current status quo.…
Fantastic docs and staff, except for guy that fits glasses.
Although the exam with the doctor took longer than usual because she kept going back and forth between me and another patient, it is understandable. However, what was not acceptable was the
inordinate amount of time wasted by the man that fits eyeglasses. Once I chose my glasses, it should have only take 10 minutes max to complete the estimate, however, not only did he waste my time due to many errors in calculating my insurance coverage and adding additional features I did not need without asking me, he also had to recalculate the numbers several times when I questioned him as to what several items were because he couldn't tell me. Because of my questioning, it resulted in a lower and more reasonable price on one pair. Additionally, when I was trying to decide between two different frames, I thought there was about a $70 difference because he gave me an incorrect price on one of the frames. The actual difference was almost $180! But at this point I had already spent so much time, I didn't want to start over so I just went with it.
In addition, when I asked about other colors, he did look them up online, but failed to write the name down so he had to keep going online to find the name when it came time to place the order (doesn't sound like much, but the computer had been closed out since it was past closing time, so I had to wait for him to search the info again).
However, the most annoying aspect was the time he wasted rambling on about errors he made in the past with other patients and the measures he took to correct them. He was breaking his arm patting himself on the back, rather than focusing on correctly calculating my order. He also blabbered on about when he owned an eye business and how he lost his retirement in bad investments and what a pain it was to apply my insurance, once again stating how he made many errors with it with other patients. I did not encourage the conversation...even checked my email on my phone and took a call from my husband who was incredulous that I was still at the eye doctors! After having been in the office for over 2 1/2 hours, I was anxious to get on my way before the traffic excalated and it was very frustrating to have him waste even more of my time in this way. When it was all said and done, it took a total of 3 1/2 hours to have my eyes examined and to pick out and order glasses. This is unacceptable as I had already traveled over 30 minutes just to get to this office. The fitter should focus less on apologizing and focus more on accuracy and professionalism.
I think the other staff are very professional and the doctors are fantastic, especially Dr. Teske, however I may go elsewhere in the future because of the inconvenience and lack of respect for my time.…
Excellent Eye Doctor!!!. He is the best Eye doctor in Tampa!! I have been to alot of diffrent places and for the first time ever I found a doctor that gave me the right rx order for my eyes and also explained everything in details and concerns with my eyes. He showed that he cared and this is actually the 2nd year me going to him! I highly recommend doctor! His staff is great!…
Very professional and most complete exam I've ever had. Dr. Teske is very professional and personable. He and his staff make you feel right and home and they provided the most complete eye exam that I've ever had. I would highly recommend him to anybody and have recommended him to several people already/…
