Great food!!!!. The food is excellent and fast, but the only issue I have is with the chili sauce they use. To me and my husband it taste to much like cinnamon to us. So, if you order the sauce on the side the food will be perfect!!

A great place with wonderful fresh local food!. The tacos and the nachos are to die for! The tacos are unusual the meat and the tortilla are fried together. Not like a taco bell taco at all! Thank god! It doesn't need all that seasoning or sauce to cover up the taste it carries it all by itself. The nachos are great because the chips are not the kind you get in the bag, but fresh tortillas fried and tall the toppings are added.

The service was good but it wasn't over the top. Everyone was very busy with all the orders being put in. There is always a rush to get tacos so the best time of to go is during the day. If you don't mind waiting go in the evening. The place is great and the people who go there are unique locals of Ybor City and the neigboring downtown!

Four reasons why you shouldn't eat there.. Mema's Alaskan Taco's is a local food spot in Ybor, Florida. I will give you four reasons why you shouldn't eat there.

1. Bad service.

2. I had ordered shrimp nachos. At first sight you'd think it was a salad. Iceburg lettuce was mounded upon the five chips loaded with beans. Around three shrimp and six shreads of cheese aided this combo. I was really disapointed.

3. Skimpy on the tacos.

4. Their salsa tastes sour like vinegar.

Memas is mediocre and they need to shape up. I know that I won't be going to eat there anytime soon.

Very Good Food. Unique atmosphere with great hours and freshly made food. If you consider yourself a taco afficionado you must try their fish tacos.

Homemade refried BLACK beans and tamales are worth the stop,
