Maria Jorge at La mansion. I have been going to Maria for a few years. She was always very expensive so I would go to her off and on because she did color fairly well. $220 for short blonde har, cut and highlights, is a lot. Every time I go to see her she is late, and if she is not late she leaves you sitting while she talks on the phone. She constantly cries the blues about not having any money, I guess so you will feel sorry for her and tip her. She barely understands English so it is very difficult to communicate what you would like to have done with your hair. She never keeps records of what her clients want or the colors used. About 6 months ago she called me at home to ask why I had not been in for while, I told her that her prices were very high so I was going to someone else. She asked me how much I was paying and I told her $160. She agreed to do my hair for that price. The last two times I went in that is how much I paid. I went in yesterday and paid her and she follows me into the bathroom to tell me (in broken english) that is was not enough and I had to pay more. This was embarrasing and extremely rude. These issues have gotten really bad lately so I have decided not to return. I assume the salon owners are aware of her problems as she no longer has her own chair there. She does not fit in with the other stylists and belongs in a lower class spanish speaking only salon. The rest of the staff is normal so if you go just avoid Maria or you will be overcharged.
