Over Priced and Poor Food.
This used to be a good restaurant. No more! The prices have doubled and the food is worse than disappointing. We will never go back.

Big Bok Choy Best.
This was a good place to eat. The owner is deceitful, and has reduced portions and ingredients added to dishes to cut cost...though she continues to raise the prices of her dishes. The cook is great, the management is not. Very disappointing for loyal customers to be treated so badly. I would go somewhere else where your patronage is valued. There are many good places to eat in the area where they value their customers and treat them well. Try: Bua Siam at 35903 Hwy. 19 in Palm Harbor or Tom Yum Thai and Sushi at 104 Patricia Avenue in Dunedin.

Compares to Los Angeles, Boston, Washington DC China Town.
This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in the Tampa, Clearwater area. The food is outstanding and as good as any I have eaten in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, or Washington DC and many of the restaurants in China.
The owners are friendly, it is well directorated and very clean. You will love it.

I love this place.
I searched long and hard to find good Chinese food in Tampa...food that could compare to that available in my other hometown of Boston. Finally I came upon Big Bok Choy and it is now my only Chinese restaurant in Tampa. Try is and you will like it.

WILL NOT GO BACK! OVERPRICED!.
This restaurant is WAY OVER-PRICED and the food is just average... same as any other 'take-out' chinese food. We got Garlic Chicken $13.95 and Pad Thai $14.95!! 2 egg rolls are $5.50 and they DO NOT carry brown rice!! or those crunchy noodles they usually have on the tables for free... The manager explained that they are "too messy" and "make crumbs on the floor" and "get stale"... No free refills for my 10 yr old either!! The manager just seems very strict / stingy and not very accommodating to customers for what they like... Maybe that's why the restaurant is empty when we have gone there. Now we won't go back...

Expensive average food.
I bought take-out from Big bok Choy on May 31st. The food was exactly like I would get at any take out Chinese restaurant, except it was almost twice as expensive. I purchased shrimp fried rice, shrimp lo-mein and egg rolls. The fried rice and lo-mein were $11.95 for a quart. There were only 4 shrimp in the lo-mein.The one very small egg roll had a very large piece of gristle in it. When I called the restaurant to ask them about the price and tell them of my shrimp shortage, the "manager" told me I was lying about how many shrimp I got. She claimed that I was the first person to ever complain about the price. Poor customer service and too high prices for average food will prevent me from giving Big Bok Choy any more of my money. I lived in New York for 12 years and I have eaten some fantastic chinese food. Take my advice and save your money.
