The Worst Tai Chi EVER - ANYWHERE. This is not Tai Chi in any way shape or form. The instructors are entirely unqualified. The basic mechanics are not "different" - they are completely wrong. The postures and movement techniques are very unsound body mechanics. The martial quality of their movements is non-existent. While they may say they are doing it for "health" - doing it mechanically wrong doesn't make it healthier. Tai Chi is supposed to teach you proper timing and structure for "perfect" body integration. If you do it right you will develop the ability to transfer energy effectively. Whether you are interested in the martial arts aspect of Tai Chi or not, by practicing sound mechanics with a relaxed body you have no choice but to become faster and more powerful. Ask an "instructor" to demonstrate any technique at full speed - hopefully actually striking a bag. If they aren't fast and powerful - they aren't Tai Chi instructors. You wouldn't take golf lessons from someone who couldn't hit a golf ball. Don't take Tai Chi from some unprofessional instructor who can't punch and kick.…
