This restaurant served up a great Indian buffet when I was in downtown St Pete. I realize its location on Central Avenue can make parking a serious issue, but if you want authentic India food and a huge selection, this is the best place to go to South Pinellas County.

Disappointment. We had a disappointing experience tonight at the India Grill. We placed a carry-out order and were told to arrive in 20 minutes, which we did. They forgot one of our orders, which took an additional 25 minutes to prepare. We ordered using their website as a guide. The dish describes grilled vegetables (onions and bell pepper). Some raw onions were thrown in the bottom of the container. When we called to complain to the staff, they said that they did not honor the menu advertised on their website.

What they gave us tasted good, but they misrepresented their menu.

Great Food. I went for the first time on a Wednesday here. The Lamb Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken were amazing. Great Flavor and the meat was very tender. The Appetizers are not as good as other Indian Resturants but the curries make up for it. Naan bread was also very good. The wait staff was friendly and gave good recommendations.

Great food - parking nightmare. I have been there a handful of times and the food, service, and price have always been great. However, beware of what seems to be free parking behind their restaurant. They do offer free parking, but after dinner I took a walk to have desert and upon my return found my car had been towed. Not a nice way to treat your patrons. Apparently, the restaurant had closed during my 45 minute walk and they had all vehicles in their parking lot towed. It was a big inconvenience and it cost me $150 to retrieve my car back from a shady character located in a very bad neighborhood. This is an awful way to treat a loyal customer. I have never had a car towed before and don't plan on ever re-living that experience again. Despite the nice food, it was not worth it and I will never return.
