SOME OF THE WORST FOOD IN TAMPA. I just ate at Chicos. The food has no flavor. It is one of the worst resturants ever! Out of a party of about 10 I ordered first got my food last. The service was not good. The prices: expensive for the garbage they serve. The cheese dip is salty as H E L _! The fajitas... I wanted to hurl. Do not waste your time or money the tortillas were like pasty gum. Ive had to take 2 zantac already. I have been all over mexico, I have mexican friends and believe me the food they sell @ Chicos is not Mexican or Tex-Mex it is GARBAGE!!!!!! nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YUK! These other reviews of Great... Question them, think about it before you go.... A rating is required that is the only reason you see a star with this review.
fresh, flavorful and friendly. great food, great atmosphere and great service. I stumbled upon Chicos, even though I live less than 1 mile away. I have been going every week since. Great sangria too.
Great casual mexican dinning. I have eaten at Chico's about seven times and I have yet to be disappointed. The food is similar to what I have had out in the western states where the Mex food is better than here. It is much better Mexican than most places. No ground beef , just steak and fire roasted chicken. I would give it 5 stars but it doesn't have a full bar and that may not be good for some customers. The wine based Margaritas a quite good anyway. Try the Chimmies or the Santa Fe steak.
