fresh food, slow service, lukewarm coffee. Used a groupon. Server anounced to Owner/Chef that we were using a groupon (maybe we got an adjusted plate - less food). Food was good but on the expensive side if we didn't have the groupon. Coffee was slightly warm and tasted old (11am). Server put the crock of coffee in the microwave and re-served and said that she didn't drink coffee...

Our bill for two was $35($25 groupon).

The sign on the window said they needed customer support if they were going to stay open!

Terra's probably a liar. Have no idea where this Terra chick ate at but I just had breakfast at Ruby Cafe, and it was so delicious. I loved their pancakes, and the fact that you can alter it to your liking is even better. Loved the decor, and the food is very healthy. I usually hate breakfast, esp hefty ones, because it leaves me feeling heavy the entire day but that wasn't the case here. I came back a couple days later to have lunch with a friend. I had the Med wrap with soup (which was homemade and yummy) and my friend had the chicken kabob. Both he and I loved the food, and it was incredibly healthy and full of flavor. I love coming here because I don't have to nitpick at the menu. The menu is great and healthy, which is what I love about it.

Times have changed!. We thought that this would be a great restaurant when we saw the "Tampa's Best 1998" on the wall, but that was 12 years ago and apparently a lot has changed. The menu only has a couple of items that are Mediterranean, including lasagna (Persian food??). They say that they are the home of Kabobs, but there is more to kabobs than sticking a stick through meat. The meat tasted as though it had been boiled before it was grilled and totally lacked seasoning. We ordered a steak kabob and received what looked like less than a 1/4 pound of meat accompanied with lots of what looked like rice-a-roni and a grilled tomato. We also ordered the Persian stew (beef in spinach and herbs). Warning: If you have a weak stomach do not order this as it looks like meat in heavy pond slime. The server was terrible with no interest in the customer or the restaurant. The final straw on the camels back (pun intended) was the bill for $28.00!! Save your money and find an authentic Mediterranean restaurant. We are planning to go to Anatolia's in Orlando to get real Mediterranean food.

only good persian food in Tampa!. This place is a diamond in the rough.... a cozy, family owned gem! I love the Persian stews and the rice is delish! They always have a good selection of soups and the kabobs are pretty good (however, Ruby likes to cook things well so if you want it medium or medium rare emphasis this to your helpful waitress Linda!). Everytime I visit I feel like part of the family!

Excellent Food..Friendly atmosphere..Great service.... I'd recommend this Cafe to everyone. Great place for breakfast and lunch..Great selection of Middle east and Mediterrenean foods..Very rich and tasty..Relaxing atmosphere with friedly service..Everything is perfect..

Poor staffing.....dirty, many menu items not available. There was maybe one other couple in the restauraunt and they made us wait a good 15-20 minutes to even get a glass of water. It was refilled only after we had to stand up and get her attention. The food was average at best and toook about 30-45 minutes for two cold sandwiches. We won't be back.
