MJ Barleyhopper Flops!!. Dining at MJ Barleyhopper is very nearly the worst dining experience we have ever had. The calamari appetizer tasted old and lacked any discernible flavor; the accompanying sauce tasted like a can of Hunts tomato paste. The dinners were even worse. The fish in my fish & chips was burnt and only the fries were edible. My wife ordered a stir fry shrimp. To our surprise, the white rice came in a take out container. I could not believe that the meal was as terrible as she described. After taking a bite, I literally spit it back into the container that the rice came in. It was horrible!! Our young waitress never even bothered to ask why we did not eat the food. We wasted $50 on three beers, an appetizer and two meals. We paid & went somewhere else. Take my advice -- Don't waste your time going there!!
