chicken vindaloo, chicken biryani
by shubs at Citysearch
The food is pathetic..too bad to be expressed in words. We really wasted our time and money. The basic dishes like biryani was bad; leave alone vindaloo and all complicated stuffs. I was not willing to give a single star as the rating. Just stay away from this so-called indian restaurant.
The westerner says: Excellent lunch!

High quality food. I had the tandoori chicken and the butter chicken on rice, along with naan (bread). It was very good; ate two plates of it. My western tastes (read: don't like supernuclear food) had plenty of choices. There were also dishes there for those who like it hotter.
I also really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.
The people who talk about high price have unrealistic expectations. You can go to a fast food joint and spent $8 on a sandwich, fries, and soda. So for a couple dollars more you get excellent food, all you can eat, at a buffet in a pleasant atmosphere. That's a good value.
I will definitely be returning for more.
Spoiled Food on the Buffet
by zanikat at Citysearch
Drove 15 minutes to go to this very dissapointing buffet. It was on a Tuesday night, the food was less than fresh and the Saag Paneer (spinach dish) was actually spoiled, but they kept insisting that it wasn't, instead of just taking off the buffet so that people don't get sick. I have enjoyed Indian Cusine for many years all over the world, not just the USA, and I know that it is not supposed to taste spoiled.
After that, I couldn't eat another bite, just the thought of them not being proactive about the whole circumstance turned my stomach. They didn't even offer to wave the charge. Eat there at your own risk.
- Pros: plenty of available seating...and now I know why.
- Cons: spoiled food, unconcerned owner/manager
Best value lunch buffet!
by dcapal at Citysearch
The lunch buffet is always a great idea! Many Indian curry dishes including vegetable korma! The buffet has popadums and salads to start, many curries and tandoori chicken for the main courses, and rice pudding to round out your meal. The naan is sometimes slow leaving the kitchen, but the staff is attentive.
Best Indian in Pinellas
by achickwwit at Citysearch
Bawarchi is never a disappointment. The servers are lively, attentive and always willing to help you try something new. The food is some of the best Indian I've had anywhere, and the homemade naan and papadum are delish. Try the palak paneer and chicken tikka masala.
- Pros: great food, friendly service
- Cons: sometimes slow service, no combination platters, value is average
