The Scene – Culinary Institute of America graduate Erin Van Zandt has taken South Tampa by storm with rice-paper rolled sushi (no nori) paired with zingy sauces and sizzling side dishes. It's a late-night hang for chiseled physiques and fashionistas. Turquoise walls, psychedelic wood-grain tables and jewel-blue stained glass make the tiny, done-on-the-cheap interior a smashing underwater fantasy. – – The Food – It's connected to Ciccio and Tony's next door (same owners), but Water's cuisine is worlds away. Water was better than I expected but a bit pricy for what you get
by jkerr7
The waitress was very friendly. While I sat looking around after placing my order I thought I had made a mistake. The restaurant is a hole in the wall. It's what I would consider a dump. They tried but the fabric panels on the ceiling with teh ceiling fans with straw blades just don't cut it. Who thought that would look good? The tables look like a Zebra Print. It's just bizarre. I thought about just getting up and leaving because the sushi menu is really limited and expensive. Ex: two pieces of Tuna are $5.50. Yikes! Also is is pretty dark in the restaurant so it's hard to see what you're eating. What? Is that a hair in your food? You'll never se it so it's ok. :) Anyway, to my surprise the sushi was really good. I would make it a point to go back the next time I am in Tampa.
- Pros: Sushi was pretty good
- Cons: Poor Sushi selection
Great Sushi!!

My husband and I LOVE this place. The wait staff is so friendly and the sushi is great! I eat there at least once a week and it is always good. You can also order the sushi from Ciccio & Toni's next door which is a family friendly place. We have gone to Water with our daughter but only when it first opens. I highly recommend this restaurant!
- Pros: Ambience, Food & Staff
- Cons: High Prices &Required Valet
