Worst Mexican Food EVER.. I hate giving it one star, but there is no negative 10 so that was the best option.

Decided to try this place, and was quickly disappointed. The first thing I noticed was the charge for chips and salsa. It was $6. We ordered 1 beer and 1 soda and the nachos. They use CANNED cheese sauce, whatever the hell that is. And they microwaved the nachos, ensuring that the chips were totally soggy, not just those that had the cheese sauce on them. Came w/salsa...or should I say diced tomatos out of a can.

Waiter was useless--basically missing in action. We did complain, and the surly rude manager came to the table after about 10 minutes and argued with us. She should be fired for her nastiness and for basically being useless. Her argument--other people eat there and like it so too bad for us. Nice, huh?

The noise level is high so don't expect to have any conversations while here. And we were only one of three tables in the place! Can't imagine what it is like when they are busy. Oh wait...I doubt they ever get more than one time customers so no worry there!

So...if you pour cheese wiz over doritos and call that nachos, go here. But bring lots of money, because your bill will be absurd. 1 beer, 1 soda and nachos was ~$20.

Go anywhere else. The service is horrible and the food is worse. It's semi expensive and very bland.

Horrible Margaritas and Management. This place should change their name to Horrible Margaritas and Management. If I could rate this place a Zero I would. During my visit to this establishment, I ordered a round of margaritas for my table. The margaritas were the worst I have ever tasted they were watered down and had no flavor. The members of my party immediately complained to the waiter about the poor taste of the margaritas and he asked how he could make it better. I told him that we would have a round of beers instead of the margaritas. The waiter agreed. When I received my bill, I was charged for the margaritas that were taken away and the beers. I ask the waiter to remove the margarita charges but he informed me that his manager would not allow him to do so. I asked to speak to the manager and when she arrived, she did nothing but argue with me. I might as well have been talking to a box of rocks. This woman has no business sense and cares nothing about repeat customers. I wish I would have read the reviews before I had gone to this place. I spent over $100.00 in this abysmal place, but they will never get another penny from me. I strongly recommend that you save your money or go somewhere else.

Avoid this place!. Awful experience -- awful service, awful food, and awful bar. Channelside would improve if this place were to go away!

DON'T GO HERE!!!. I wish I had found these reviews before I went here! You've heard "location, location, location", well, that is the only thing going for this bar which just so happens to offer, at best, fast-food quality offerings at a slow pace.

Go here if you don't like freshness and quality in your food.. Some friends and I went to Margarita Mama's over the Memorial Day weekend and were let down big time. It was clear to us that the place is mismanaged and doesn't care about repeat business. One friend ordered stuffed nachos from the menu but was told that they didn't have that item any longer and haven't for awhile. My girlfriend and I simply ordered chips and salsa for $3.95. There are other Tex Mex restaurants that give away chips and salsa, and for what we received, Margarita Mama's should be ashamed. The "salsa" was diced tomatoes from a can. That was it. Opening a can of diced tomatoes and pouring it in a cup is not salsa. The overriding flavor of the "salsa" was the preservatives. I had one bite and was done. A friend said the regular nachos "were not bad". My girlfriend perused the beer listings of the dozen or so selections under "On Tap". She chose the Dos Equis Amber and was told they didn't have it, that the only thing she could get in draft was Bud Light. Out of about 12 different beers they had listed, all they actually had was Bud Light? For what it's worth, the Banana Margarita I tried was good, but for $6 I expected a bigger portion. They looked like 8 oz of margarita, and this is not top shelf liquor, either. Competing places will give you double that for the price. Out of the 6 of us, the best any of us could say about our orders was that the nachos weren't bad. Everyone else was disappointed in the quality of the food. No less than 3 times did one of us order something from the menu that the waitress said they didn't have, prompting one friend to say, "Well, what DO you have?" We asked to see a manager and was left waiting for almost 10 min before we finally just left. We were told that the manager would see us when he was done fixing a computer. They have a lot more than a computer to fix, that's for sure. On our way out, we overheard another couple leaving saying, "That was terrible." We all agreed, despite their pretty views of the water.

Abysmal!. Absolutely wretched food. Nachos use jar cheese. Tacos use stale taco shells. Chicken burrito has 2 pieces of chicken in it. Save your money and go to Taco Bell for a better dining experience.

Go for the sunshine. Oven roasted? I'm sure my arroz con pollo came from a can. Music was good and so was the sunshine.

Grab specialty margaritas and reasonably priced Tex-Mex fare at this cantina-like location overlooking the water and downtown.. The Scene
Snag a table on the spacious patio of this colorful spot situated above an array of shops. Hanging burlap sacks, artfully distressed paint and simple strings of bulbs set a rustic mood at the bar. The laid-back blend of cheerful couples and families enjoy live acoustic guitar and vocals every night, and a helpful Hawaiian shirt-clad staff adds to the lively mood.

The Food
The menu marries customary Tex-Mex fare with unusual twists. Any time of day, grab a warm chicken burrito smothered with melted pepper jack cheese and tomato-pepper sauce. At night, spice up your senses with the grilled, red chili-dusted salmon topped with subtle yellow pepper-saffron sauce, or try the oven-roasted chicken quesadilla, wrapped in a chipotle tortilla and stuffed with blackened tomato jam and smoked gouda. Cool down with a spiced mojito or the Mama Rita--a notch above a typical margarita, with a blend of top-shelf tequila, triple sec and Grand Marnier.
