Tokyo sushi in baywalk. Great place to get Sushi. It right above the theater and that makes for a great evening date! The food is awesome, the staff is friendly and ive never had a bad experience. The sushi is simply amazing... the prices are great and while the environment is lacking the food will leave you satisfied.

My Fav. Lunch Spot. I work downtown and I have sampled most of the resturants in this direct area including most of the sushi places. This is by far my number one place to go. The staff is very friendly and very attentive for the most part I have my soup and salad and tea quickly and my sushi is generally ready before I'm done eating my soup and salad. The only time that I have issues is when they are hit with an off day lunch rush the service can be a bit slow but still worth the wait.

The lunch special can't be beat, even with tax and tip I get out of there for $14.00 and I'm always full.

On the other hand at dinner time the price goes up significantly still worth while but not nearly as good of a deal.

Great place to stop off before you movie.

What's the big deal?. I went here based on high recommendations from friends and reviews. I wish I hadn't. The experience was a disaster from the get-go. I went for lunch and the place was obviously understaffed to handle the lunch crowd. The 'host' also served as bus boy and waiter, and he was a raily, greasy-looking kid who acted as if he'd rather be anywhere else than at work. After the initial order, which took a while to give, he never came by to ask how the food was or if I wanted anything else. The Japanese paper screens were flecked with old food and soy sauce. There was a large hole in the ceiling above my table. The music was too loud and inappropriate. It took two people and 20 minutes to clear off the table next to us. They didn't sweep under that table, and there were chopstick wrappers and other filth left for the next diners to step on. There was only one guy making the sushi. I have never seen less than two (especially at peak dining hours). He looked overworked and not too happy to be there. It took half an hour for my soup and salad to arrive, and that was after I had to ask the second waiter about it. The second waiter said, "Oh, he must have forgotten." (Great.) The miso soup was dull and after a sip or two I gave up. The little cup to hold the soy sauce was dirty underneath. I wonder if they have a dedicated dishwasher back in the kitchen? The sushi was pretty good, not the best I have ever had but it kind of made up for the bad service and dirty surroundings. At least it was fresh and the portions generous. My advice to this place would be to clean the place up, fix the dirty and broken fixtures, hire better staff, and make the theme more Asian (get rid of the bad pop music) and make customer service a priority rather than an afterthought. I'm not going back - there are better sushi places in town that do it correctly.

Good sushi, somewhat pricey. Overall, I would have to give this restaurant an average rating. Although the sushi was good, I have definitely had better at a much lower cost at other sushi bars in the area. I only eat cooked rolls, so possibly their raw variety is a better deal. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. My only problem was the cost and the small portions.

Best Sushi in the Area. I've been here alot and i always leave wanting more. Everything I've had was seriously the best I've had. I definately recommend it.

User review by hschmieder. I've been to this restaurant several times and I have yet to have a bad experience. The sushi has been fresh everytime and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food. If you like rolls, I would highly recommend the Magic Roll!
