Tampa >Bayshore Nails
DO NOT GO! I never post bad reviews but this place was AWFUL! They had only about 3 customers the entire time i was there, took an hour to do a fill not even asking me if i wanted a cut down, and when i asked him to put shellac gel over my Polish (which they advertise and charge 4$ dollars for) it crackled off the same day leaving my nails in shambles. I even insisted that the gel he was using was not the right kind. He did not make any conversation, and had a horrible color selection. VERY disappointed.
Really Disappointing. I don't often contribute to these types of reviews, but maybe this will be helpful to someone else looking for a good nail salon. I visited Bayshore Nails because I read some of their great reviews online. My nails had grown out a lot and I was desperate for a refill. To make it short, I could not wait to get done there and leave that place. The guy doing my nails was borderline rude, and either not very good or just did not want to do a better job. He spent about half the time it used to take my old nail tech, who did a very thorough job and it showed in how well my nails held up. This guy did not remove any of the acrylic that was lifting. I told him that one of my nails had fallen off and I glued it back but wanted it removed and replaced with a new tip - but he just went ahead and applied more acrylic over it. Did not even bother to thank me for the tip. Other than me, there were zero clients in that shop. I will keep looking for someone who can do my nails as well as my old nail tech. He was absolutely great and will be difficult to replace :(
I like this nail salon. This is my first time there and I enjoy it a lot. I got the Delux spa pedicure and it was so relaxing. The young lady that work on me really took her time to make sure everything was perfect. She was very pleasant with me and my nails turned out great. Everyone I know at work love my nails and some girls will come with me next week to this Bayshore place.
Find somewhere else!.
I am new to the south Tampa area, and was desperatly looking for a nail salon in the area that was nice, yet affordable. Based on the reviews from this site, I decided Bayshore Nails would be a good place. I was wrong. the "Delux" spa pedicure is nothing delux. They just rub hot stones on your calves for MAYBE 30 seconds. $5 for that? While having my pedicure, they started my full set of acrylics, making me feel super rushed, as opposed to the relaxing salon treatment I was hoping for. And, the Pedicure was was ICE COLD.
Then came the nails. I made it clear that I DID NOT want pink and white. The person doing my nails (I think his name is wee?) started pink and whites anyway. After I corrected him, he took the pink and white off in a huff, and was rude the rest of the time. I asked for a painted french, HALF MY NAILS ARE NOW PAINTED WHITE! then, without asking..... he proceeded to paint silver splashes on my nails to hide his horrible paint job.
Then, I had my eyebrows waxed. they look great, but when I tried to sit up once she was done waxing them, she pushed my head back onto the table saying she wasnt done. Who does that!?
The place is not that clean. The decor is tacky, The people are rude, and I was not be back.
I rather pay higher south tampa prices and enjoy my experiance and finished product, that I ended up paying too much for anyway!
PS- I, nor anyone else, was offered cold water while I was there!
Great Deluxe Pedicure. I loved my first trip to Bayshore Nails. I was a walk in and they took me right away. I was lucky and got the only empty chair at the time. They gave me a free bottle of water and offered the upgrade to the deluxe pedicure, which i took cause it was only $5 more. It came with the hot stone massage, the leg mask which was so relaxing, and a champagne flute of Long Island Iced Tea!! Everyone was very friendly and the price ($35 for a deluxe mani/pedi) was fantastic. I'm definitely going again!!
Extras that you don't get at other nail salons!. Bayshore Nails is the place to go if you're interested in not only a great manicure or pedicure, but good prices, friendly service, relaxing music, and a feeling of "escape" that puts you in the right frame of mind to deal with the world when you leave. The new owner and his staff are always helpful and make you feel special. Give them a try; you won't regret it. I've visited several South Tampa nail salons; this one is the best!
Most fabulous nail salon in the state!. This nail salon offers the latest techniques available. Very professional yet caring staff and open seven days a week, it does not get any better than this! The salon manager has been doing my nails for nearly ten years and I have never had such fabulous results.
