This is one of my favorite places to come for buffet, as they probably know since they see me there at least three times a week. They have a large variety of both Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food and their menu even has some vegan friendly dishes. I love that everything is hot, fresh, and healthy. I think my favorites would have to be the butter chicken and aloo gobi masala. Though their goat curry is also very good... if you get a chance to drop by... you definitely won't be disappointed...

Finding Deeya was a happy surprise. I had met my friend at the movie theater in the plaza, and as we left our theater, we saw the sign for Deeya. I absolutely love Indian food, but my friend had never tried it before. I had to convince him to come and try, but really on the inside I was nervous on how the experience would be. (He can be highly critical about new foods). It was our first time trying out the food there. Everything was really delicious. We ate during the buffet and everything was hot, fresh, and well-prepared. The food was not oily or too spicy as some Indian restaurants can be. We also ordered from the menu, because vegetables samosas and peshawari naan is my favorite! The staff also patiently helped my friend out since he was apprehensive about some of the dishes. I am so glad that we stopped on by. It's so good that my friend who is the PICKIEST eater I have ever met, loved it. Can't get better than that. My friend and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat a hearty meal that is not only delicious but filling as well.

I recommend that you do not eat here, and this is why. I was having lunch at this place on 1/20, and I watched the person in charge take food that was not consumed on a customer s plate and place it back into the buffet.

Best food ever!. If you're reading this, you're probably like me. You are most likely a very picky eater, and like me, you probably like to research before eating out. Well, let me tell you from personal experience, that Deeya has the best Indian food I've had in years. I went to the restaurant pretty skeptical at first. During my first visit, I went for the lunch buffet. They had a huge variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. I loved the butter chicken, and chili chicken. And I'll admit.... I'm not much of a vegetable eater... but I even loved their mixed vegetable dish! I couldn't believe it! My mom will be so proud of me! Anyways... for date night, I encouraged my boyfriend to take me out to Deeya's for dinner. I tried their chicken kadai and my boyfriend had the lamb rogan josh. We had intended to share the food, but it was so good, we were unwilling to part from even one morsel (Though I did sneak a bite of the lamb dish while my bf wasn't looking ;) ) Dinner was even better than the buffet. I loved the garlic naan and the mango lassi was also very cool and refreshing. I loved the whole experience! If I could I would rate this place 10 stars!!!! Highly, highly, highly recommend this restaurant.... you won't regret it! :)

Florida's Best Indian Restaurant. Deeya Indian Cuisine serves the finest Indian food I've ever had. And that's saying a lot because I'm half Indian - my mother was born in India, my family lived and worked there for several years, employed by Kaiser Engineers on the Tata Steel Mill project in Jamshedpur. My grandparents on my mom's side lived in Calcutta, and between my mom and grandma, we were treated to the finest family made, grandma recipe based, Indian meals of all kinds. Though my home is in California, in the San Francisco Bay -Silicon Valley area, I've been out here in Florida the last few years working on my folk's family home. San Francisco has an awesome collection of world-class Indian restaurants, while Silicon Valley, populated by many Indian engineers, also offers an impressive collection of high quality family-run Indian restaurants. I've eaten at most all of these, and though many are quite good, as well as quite expensive, none compare with the family-run, economically priced, home recipe based deliciousness of Deeya Indian Cuisine - just like grandma used to make. I found out about Deeya by stopping in, along US Highway 19, at various family-run Indian markets, including Spice of India & Touch of India, and asking them what was their favorite Indian restaurant, & to a Hindu, it was Deeya; and I got much the same impression from the reviews on the various popular web restaurant sites. I went to Deeya & started with the signature dishes, beginning with the acid test - Deeya's Chicken Tikka Masala, a tricky dish to make because it involves 1st preparing the meat by cooking it in a traditional clay oven, which imparts a smoky flavor to the meat inside, followed by cooking in the curry sauce, which adds the curry flavor to the outside, the trick being to keep the two flavors distinct - Deeya deftly pulls this off. I also tried the Lamb Saag (with spinach), Channa Masala (Chickpeas), Saag Paneer (homemade cheese with spinach), Bhindi Masala (Okra), Garlic Naan (bread), & appetizers Vegetable Samosa & Pakora - all most impressive. The final acid test, a dessert originally served by Indian royalty at weddings, and my vote for the tastiest dessert across all cuisines, was Ras Malai - Deeya's version is so good, it would raise my grandma's eyebrows. Deeya Indian Cuisine is a rare cultural jewel, yet due to the current recession, economic downturn, and drop off of people going out to dine, one that could be lost if we don't offer our support. And so my fellow intrepid adventurous diners, your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to go and taste for yourself; and if you would, add your review to your favorite restaurant review sites at Yelp, TripAdvisor, Citysearch, Urbanspoon, Yahoo Local, Superpages, Best of the Web, Tampabay, & LargoPatch. Through the awesome power of social networking, and a little luck, may news of this finest Indian restaurant bubble up to the top of the list and appear on everyone's radar screen. --- Cliff Thompson, Appropriate Technology Engineer, VillageTech

The Best Indian Food I've Had - Anywhere. I've been going to Deeya's for well over a year. Their lunch buffet puts anything else in the area to shame. I discovered it quite by (HAPPY) accident. It's my #1 choice in places to go when I want to eat out.

The dinners there are even better. They have a huge selection for a small restaurant. And the flavors of the various dishes makes me sad I waited so long to discover the magnificent taste of Indian Cuisine!

I never thought I'd like Indian food because of all the herbs and spices, but I was SO DELIGHTED with the wonderful flavors.

Who knew eating healthy food could taste so delicious!

If you haven't tried Deeya's, do your taste buds a real favor and try it ASAP. You will be glad you did.

Best Indian food ever. Although the restaurant is small, the food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Deeya's is by far the best Indian restaurant we have ever dined at, and truly an enjoyable culinary delight. The lamb curry was quite excellent, though the star of the evening was the butter chicken. My girlfriend and I ate until we were stuffed, and later wondered if either of us were okay to drive. :)

Deeya's came highly recommended to us by an Indian doctor. In fact, as we were leaving, a large Indian family had just arrived for dinner. Visit Deeya's once and you will consider never going anywhere else for great Indian cuisine.

# 1 recommended. I moved from Chicago in november i loved the weather here in florida but once in a while i used to miss authentic indian food. As you all know, you can find an Indian restaurant in Chicago at every corner. Last Sunday, I was driving on East Bay Drive, and I saw a big sign of Deeya Indian Cuisine in Tricity Plaza. Me, my wife and my kids had a very good experience-- we had the BEST GOAT CURRY ever i can finally say that my search for a good restaurant is over. I finally have my favorite place and I definitely recommend this place to all those who know the real taste of indian food.

The Best Indian Food Ever!!!!!!. Deeya Indian Cuisine is one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever come by. Though I have traveled far and wide in the search of good food, I have not been able to find a restaurant that tops this! They have great food with a lot of varieties for both vegetarians and meat lovers. Their Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Boti Masala is simply to die for! I have been coming at this restaurant for over a year, and simply love everything about it. The general environment is warm and inviting. The owners and staff make you feel very comfortable and they go out of their way to make sure that you have a great dining experience every time. On the whole, I have found this restaurant to be absolutely fantastic. I am absolutely in love with this place! If you don't believe me, just take a look yourself :). I guarantee that you will have a pleasantly unforgettable experience. This restaurant has it all- A clean, inviting environment--- a helpful, caring, staff ---- and of course, AWESOME food.... what else could you want?

Very Good!. Very good Indian food. I wish they would allow take out at the lunch buffet. Perhaps give you a medium container and let you fill it once. Indian Grill in St. Pete did this for people on the go and it worked out nice.
