Editorial Review for Rosemary Cottage Tea Room – by Jacklyn Melton

The Scene
Soft music and lighting set the scene for groups of giggling women and pairs of fathers and daughters sitting in themed areas, including the burgundy Shakespeare Room and pastel-pink Romeo and Juliet table. The boutique offers items from antiques to make-your-own rhinestone bracelets.

The Food
Walk-ins can choose tea from more than 80 varieties like spiced chai and smoky bourbon vanilla, but reserve a teatime for the entire experience. Courses arranged on a three-tiered platter are eaten from bottom to top on fine china. A silver tea warmer keeps your pot hot, and amber sugar crystals sweeten any cup. Enjoy traditional cucumber sandwiches on heart-shaped white bread, chunky chicken salad with sweet cranberries on buttery croissants, and orange scones with an almond glaze and Devonshire cream. The in-house pastry chef prepares crumbly tarts and brownies with rich raspberry spread. Finish with a refreshing lemon sorbet.

1/11/2005 I've been in Tampa since December 1985 and never heard of this place. Who (between the ages of 18-80) goes to a tea room and ranks it as one of the top 10 things to do in Tampa. I do see a theme. Most of these places on Tampa's top 10 list are in South Tampa (aka: big money area). They are definitely using this website and top 10 list as a means of advertising.
