An eclectic variety of bohemian-chic clothing and home furnishings..
In Short
Tailored but never trendy, this affordable chain has been keeping the closets of career gals and housewives stocked with good-quality, basic wardrobe-builders, shoes and accessories since 1954. Diligent shoppers can unearth some seasonal options with more of an edge too: suede wrap skirts, retro-print separates or clingy little black dresses. Frequent sales make these stores prime ops for college grads on the prowl for interview suits, weddings and first-job career-wear.

great stuff, but surprisingly bad form.
i love shopping at this store, but was shockingly disappointed at the lack of integrity & responsibility on behalf of the managers at this particular location (705 s. dakota ave. in tampa). i have always had delightful experiences shopping at this chain--in its stores, on its website, & over the phone. however, recently i was in dialogue with the management of this store re: their hiring for the summer, & i was given a complete run-around & was told about 5 different stories from the same person, & in the end (after being hotly pursued by them, having a GREAT interview...& then several weeks of never hearing back like i was promised, not getting answers to my questions, & waiting to find out WHEN i was supposed to come in for training), i was basically abandoned with--still--no answers to my questions & no reason for the run-around. the woman i finally spoke to on the phone (after i called) about my situation admitted that they were at fault for misleading me about the job, yet there was no apology & no explanation given to me about the weeks i'd spent waiting on them for answers. heinous.
this is really sort of a long story, & i'm just giving the bare bones so it might be confusing. i would probably never warn against shopping at the store, since their merchandise is fabulous (in my opinion, of course), but i would strongly caution against working with the people in charge. i left that experience with a very bad taste in my mouth, & have since found myself avoiding the store altogether. their management needs to be human, take responsibility, get their stories straight, & MANAGE. for anyone considering working there, i would highly recommend asking a lot of questions about the store's financial situation (i.e., if they are currently even ABLE to hire) & demanding answers promptly, no matter how many times you have to call. don't let them unapologetically put you on the back burner, like they did to me. wonderful merchandise, but extremely disappointing people.
