Tampa >T C Choy's Asian Bistro
Editorial Review. This modern bistro offers traditional Asian dishes, focusing mainly on Cantonese cuisine including roast duck and sweet and sour pork.
The BEST Chinese Food in Tampa!!!! (P.S. I'm Chinese).
I'm a Chinese from Taiwan, and I have enjoyed Chinese Food from a Global perspective!!!! I've travelled all over the world and I have always end up in a local Chinese Restaurent irreguardless what country I'm in: I LOVE Chinese Food! I've dined on Chisese Food in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore( a few Chinese centered locations), along with other Asian Countries, Euopean Countries, North America, Central America, South America...ect.
T C Choy's Bistro is Top on my List for Chinese food! If you want Authenic Chinese Food, you need to know how to order Authenic Chinese Food! The restaurent will have menu items that caters to the local american taste if they want to stay in business, and If a diner want to have a Real Chinese Meal: ASK for the Menu in CHINESE!!!!!!!!!!! ( All kiddings aside, just ask the T C Choy's Chinese Manager what his recommendations would be for a Real Chinese Banquet Experience. And tell him that "Doctor Sung sent you!"
A place for great Dim Sum. The food on the menu are not too authentic if it is categorized as Chinese restaurant since the taste seems to be adjusted more toward American taste. Therefore, I am not too excited to order from the regular menu (dont get me wrong though, they still taste good but just not authentic enough for me) However I definitely recommend their SEAFOOD because they are fresh! I love the "Oyster with X.O Sauce" (you will be surprise by how huge the oysters are) and I LOVE THEIR DIM SUM!!! It is awesome! (Dim Sum => There are many varieties of food come to your table with a small portion so you can taste many different things at one visit. Eat them with soy sauce and their hot sauce if you like it hot.) I dare you to try their Chicken feet =) it is yummy!
User review by russo2072. Nice service, ambience, and decent food. Dim sum almost like what i've had in New York City.
Contends for best restaurant in Tampa. This is one of Tampa's greatest values and is among my favorite restaurants in Tampa. It is upscale quality with a refreshingly casual atmosphere. The food may not be "authentic," but it is fabulous and I suspect I would not want to eat like typical Chinese citizens. The wait staff are fabulous. The food is exceedingly fresh (fish are netted from the aquarium in front of you just before they are cooked). The sushi bar has the freshest sushi I have had in Tampa. Dim sum on weekends is a must-try for everyone.
Dim Sum. A good variety of dim sums, great for brunch. Dinner is good. But waiters/waitresses not familiar w/authentic chinese food/service. Expensive.
