When the tranny went out in my Chevy I thought the worst, naturally, but thanks to Shift Rite I didn't have a heart attack when I got the bill! I had received some quotes around town but decided on Shift Rite because they were the cheapest. Not only did they have the best price, they knew their stuff. Couldn't believe the most knowledgeable team of guys could do such a great job for the lowest price! They 100% earned my business and I will be recommending them to my buddies.
We went to shift rite in August 2012, Randy tells my husband it needs a new transmission. Warranty pays him $4000 to fix it, took him two weeks to fix. After having it a couple weeks it breaks down in BFE, again. We take it back, Randy now tells my husband that it's the tork converter, it takes him another two weeks to fix & charged the warranty company another $1000. When we get it back he tells my husband the transmission has to update with the computer which might take a couple of days. I couldn't even drive it, it would shift so hard it would scare people. Within a week it broke down again. When he saw it this time he says it's electrical of course not something he did. We decided to get 4 different opinions one being lokey Nissan. All saying he never replaced the transmission and the tork converter was put in wrong. We threaten to sue him and then all of a sudden he's gonna fix it. He's had my car for over two months. Saying he's waiting for parts. Not only gonna still sue, but contacting the attorney general, better business bureau, contacting every news outlet I can, and picketing outside his business. He is a fraud!
My family has been coming here for years and now that I am driving, I use them for all my auto needs.
Every time I come in the owner gives me the best service and is upfront & honest with me. Their pricing has always been the best and they get the job done right!
*********CUSTOMERS BEWARE*********** My 92 year old grandmother was having some trouble with her car and a friend told her to take it to ShiftRite. She brought it to Randy to have it fixed. He told her that she needed to replace the computer and some sensors. Needless to say he charged her $1300. She is on a fixed income and had to have help to pay for it. When she got the car back it was running worse than when it went in. We told her not to take it back to them and took it to our own TRUSTED mechanic. He looked over the car and confirmed that Randy did NOT put in a new computer and the sensors were not replaced. Additionally, upon further inspection they found that they unpluged the check engine light.While trying to keep his dishonesty covered, he put my grandmothers life on the line. Clearly this man shows no compassion and must not have a conscious. It had been working before Randy started to work on it. I know there are bad mechanics out there but this takes the cake!!!!! To take advantage of a 92 year old woman who only makes $600 a month!!!! Randy s shop will be going to court!! We will be seeking legal action!!
Dont even let him touch your vehicle. I took my car here to get an estimate to put new transmission mounts. I do all my own maintence on my cars, but this car you had to pull the engine part way out to get one of the mounts in. After he had my car for over a hour to give me an estimate, Randy told me that the car wasn't running right (which it wasn't) and that it need it needed a new ecu computer all new tranny mounts, engine mounts, and a mass air flow sensor. I laughed and walked out, as I knew it was not running correctly because of a $30 plenum boot (common Cadillac problem). Please do know do business with this crook, liar, thief and scumbag. Its people like this that makes the industry look bad, and make our world a more insecure place.
