Dunedin >Gregory's Salon
Nice Experience. We had a wonderful experience at this salon. It was a treat, very classy, enjoyable - the staff is very polite and caring, and they did an awesome job on my daughter's hair. Can't complain (and anyone who does must be a disgruntled water thief. There's no fury like a thief claiming to be well-off, caught red-handed stealing water). We are getting ready to call for another appointment and looking forward to another treat!
Great Staff and Wonderful Community Events. I think it's funny that someone who is making accusations of tackiness is also bragging about their own financial status, because that's not tacky at all! I happened to be present at the event in question and the reason he was told that the water was paid for with tax payer money was because it WAS(by the way, he wasn't told by a staff member, it was a campaign manager). The event was a fundraiser for a local City Commissioner's Campaign. If the salon was to ever have a dissatisfied client they would handle the situation with the utmost courtesy I'm sure. Aside from that, Gregory's Salon offers the best service in a relaxing and up tone environment. They also have entertaining art events every quarter in cooperation with the Dunedin Fine Art Center -- So much FUN! I have nothing bad to say about this salon or their service. I have referred all of my friends and they also now call Gregory's their home salon. I forgot that they also donated to my local charity event, they are just great like that. Call them today and enjoy yourself - I did.
Gregory's is just downright FABULOUS..
I am sorry that one person had an issue with someone who works at the salon. If they were giving out or selling drinks, I don't think someone should judge the salon based on a water bottle incident. There might have been something to sign up for, or maybe it wasn't free, who knows. Obviously it wasn't just being given away or else it would have not been an issue.
Furthermore if the person is referring to the owner, Gregory, whom I know on a personal basis... Neither he or the salon is hurting for money as was implied. They also have business that well extends into other avenues, other expertises, and sheer creative expansion of their talents.
All of the cosmetologists working at this salon have much experience, plenty of training in many avenues of cosmetology and specialties, and are very much appreciated by their clients. Out of all of the salons I have been to, this salon is exceptional when it comes to service, expertise, atmosphere, and hospitality. All of the clients get *exactly* what they want and more at Gregory's. The owners of this salon are very much involved in the community of Dunedin, and are avid Human Rights advocates, very intelligent, brilliant at what they do, and just plain good people. They have done a tremendous amount of good things for the community of Dunedin and continue to do so on a day to day basis.
Whether you want you hair cut, colored, styled, set or even have extensions put in, these people know exactly what they are doing when it comes to hair. And don't even get me started on the massage therapy, skin, and nails... It's such an amazing relaxing experience it can't even be described well enough in words, it has to be experienced! If you are the kind of person who is serious about the way you look, and like to have an up-scale relaxing environment to be pampered in, then this salon is for you!
Who puts open drinks out on a public sidewalk at an opening and then scorns passersby for taking a "bottle of water - which costs $0.25 at Costco".They must really be hurting for money (I am not by the way) and so they certainly should not scowl at potential clients that assume it is for the public consumption. I will certainly never use this salon for this particular reason, even if they were voted the hair geniuses of the Universe, which I seriously doubt.
This genius said, and I quote "This is paid for with taxpayers money". What a stupid statement to make to people who pay taxes in his community. I am sure that I pay 3 times the amount of taxes he will ever hope to make. I am very happy to see what kind of people the staff of GREGORYs Salon is. I only visit salons which have class and the salon certainly does not have it.
