Consistantly good food with a beautiful view. Bon Appetit in Dunedin and the Columbia restaurant in Ybor City are our very favorite eating establishments south of the Mason-Dixon line. Nothing is perfect, but they both come as close over such a long time as anything we have seen. The food is always fresh and obviously prepared with care, concern and expertise. The wait staff has been, on the whole, better than average and a few truly shine. The prices, although not cheap, are, in our opinion, reasonable. The view is, of course, fabulous, especially at sunset. However, you must get there early if you want a window table overlooking St. Joseph Sound. Don't blame the staff if all those tables are taken or if there are some open and you don't "ask" to be seated at one of them.

Expensive low quality food, off-putting waitstaff. Went for a sunset dinner placed one member of our party not facing the view and pushy about making her sit there (there was an open seat facing the water) 3-course meal consisted of either too spicy and watery lobster bisque, or iceberg salad (w/ few pieces of mixed greens and some rotted pieces) a sophisticated sprinkling of shelled sunflower seeds and canned sliced olives. Lamb lacked much meat served with tacky jello green mint jelly, salmon was done well but smallish portion, sweet potato croquette so fried and cinnamon and sugary more like a donut. Raspberry puree dessert tasted like jam would've been good with a biscuit lol. Waiter was so pushy and quietly lingered for much too long at our table. Not satisfied for 20 person a pop meal

Horrible. Let me preface this whole review by saying i have been in some of the best restaurants around the world. I have never been treated so rudely as I was treated at Bon Appetit. I had a party of 3 plus my infant son out to dinner for my mother's birthday. When we arrived at the restaurant my son was beginning to fall asleep. I asked if it would be ok to bring his stroller in so he could sleep. I was told that would be no probelm. The gentleman escorting us to our table even moved a chair away so the stroller would fit nicely at the table. All of a sudden this man came over(I am assuming it was the owner or manager) and proceeded to put his hands on my baby's stroller with my son in it and begin to move the stroller. When we asked what he was doing, he said he does not want the stroller in there and it was going to be moved. This is when he started to move the stroller away on his own. I am sure anybody with children can relate to how upset they would be if a complete stranger walked up and started to move your stroller with your baby in it. All he needed to do was ask us to move the stroller and we would have been happy to comply, but to rudely tell us it WILL be moved and then proceed to do it himself... is wrong. We left the restaurant and I will never go back. There are way too many better restaurants in the area to have to put up with that owner's attitude and arrogance.

Poor Customer Service!. Had a bridal shower for my best friend here and was slapped with a bill that we weren't expecting - we were charged additional for iced beverages even though they were on our "set fee" menu that was pre-negotiated. We questioned the bill and the catering manager rudely told us there was nothing she WOULD do about it and unless we could produce our contract for her to review we needed to pay up right away. Then she (Luanne) proceeded to approach the bride and ask her what we (the hostesses) were going to do to pay the bill! OMG!! While we were getting our payment together, the catering manager then stood with the waitstaff gossiping on what our situation was, pointing and sneering our direction. Mind you, we were more than able to pay the bill, however there was definitely an air of superiority being cast our way - like we were unable to pay. Not the case, we just wanted to pay the negotiated amount plus gratuity. OUR SERVICE BY OUR WAITRESS WAS WONDERFUL HOWEVER (wanted to point that out...).However, I will never visit this restaurant again or recommend it to anyone.

The food and view are great but they don't have any customer serivce!!. We had a wedding shower there and everything went well until the bill came. There was a discrepancy with the total and when we brought it their attention they didn't help. They claim they went to the owner Peter Kreuziger and he wouldn't do anything. The last time I checked we were the customer. That will be the last time I ever do business with them.

Where's the customer service???Not at Bon Appetit!
