Dyke City. Maybe it was a practical joke - but I was told this was a great place and was always filled with ladies. So I went... well more then 1/2 the gals there were Lesbians... they were openly kissing each other...and not that I am complaining but just sayin' this is apparently a lesbian and gay men place. When a few guys hit on me I decided it was time to go... so I wandered next door to this place called BLUR - then right back out. The place next door is like flaming hot gay.

Cappucino's Cafe bad for Dunedin. Went shopping to Dunedin to cute little shops like Darling Memories,Amanda Austin and Rose Garden. Everyone in these shope were nice and welcoming. I wanted to end my shopping experience with a nice cup of Java.

Whe I walked to Cappucino's Bakery...I saw a couple of customers and once person working behind the counter so I decided to sit and but my bags down. When I sat on the counter...the lady working there didn't aknowledge me but I figure she was alone so I didn't take it personally. Since I really was craving my cup of Java I decided to patiently wait. After taking the order from customers she went to the back and dissapeared for 20 minutes.

At this point I really needed to go to the bathroom. When she came of to serve the people I asked if she can buzz me to the bathroom and she ignored me. I asked again and she SHOUTED at me and I saw a mean lady looking at me. She yelled"don't you see that I'm working alone here...if you need a public bathroom there's one around the corner". I metioned to her that I was a potential customer and I have been patient by waiting 20 minutes and she didn't have to yell at me and send me to a public bathroom. I've had my bags here and that she shouldn't abuse me for no reason.

After that...she yelled at me again and told me that I should leave her shop. SHe mentioned that she was the owne and I was shocked and couldn't believe that she was being so cruel to me for no apparent reason. She basically was taking out her job or personal frustrations on me. I was really shocked and like any women with some integrity I defended my case....and tol her that she was very cruel and bitter and that this is no way to treat a customer who has been patiently waiting. She then did the ultimate...she called the cops so they can escort me for no reason. Since it was so unfair...I figured I would wait and explain my side of the story to the cops...that I was basically waiting 20 minutes for a cup of Java and to use the bathroom and this lady was just cruel with me for no apparent cause...just being abusive towards me from her personal frustrations.

I decided to leaven and not let her ruin the wonderful experience I had with other merchant owners in the area. I saw her as being cruel, catty and bitter and left without take in it personally.

I have travelle all over the world and come from a family of restaurant owners and I ive that the owner of Cappuccino's Bakery a 0 out of 10 rating for cruelty, abuse, and and hateful energy. Have a spirit lady...it's Xmas. She is a lady Scroodge.

If you are visiting Dunedin...stay away if you are happy, attractive and fairly young because this witch will hate on you and give you ill treatment. She represents the haters of the world who hate the happy, sexy, beautiful and cheerful young women. STAY AWAY from the abuse. Oh by the way I saw she did the same to a customer on a Yahoo Travel Review....this MErchant will give Dunedin a bad name.

Who needs cable? Just pull up a bar stool. My friends and I love Dunedin. We like nothing better than doing a Friday night pub crawl in downtown. Our last stop is always the Chic-a-Boom Room. They have great martinis, the outdoor patio is huge, and the patrons are always interesting. You never know who or what you will see there. Some nights it's 20 somethings, some nights its date night, some nights you see athletes and then drag queens! That's what makes Dunedin so unique.

I have always had great service. The food is excellent. They also have a new bar next door called Blur. We went over there on a Friday night, danced for ever! Good time, good music.

The only con I have really seen is that there are not enough girl bathrooms and you can only eat dinner in the restaurant. I could only get appetizers at the bar.

I would recommend this place.

Gay Friendly.... Bar Manager.. HOMOPHOBIC!!!!. Kelly's & Chic a Boom Room... kellys.. great for food.. chic a boom room .. great for drinks.. the bar manager.. I think his name is Nick. He is the rudest homophobic loser around. I don't get it! It makes NO SENSE! The owner, is gay but has a homophobic bar manager? My boyfriend and I were there sitting at the Bar outside.. we had 2 drinks.. my boy friend went to go to the bathroom and before he did that he kissed me on the lips as he was getting up. Well the homophobic bald bar manager came over to me and said ..." Try to restrict your self from anyform of PDA, or else I will have to ask you to leave". NEVER EVER going back there again. EVER!

good drinks poor bar tender. The bar tender was rude. We sat at the bar and drank,. The bar tender came over and picked up the glass that was clearly empty and looked inside, but never asked if we wanted another one.
