Tips for Sea Sea Riders

March 02, 2013

Sea Sea Riders - see what you have done with seafood. A great menu and fine service make this a good stop in Dunedin's outstanding Main Street. Sea Sea has a parking lot so it is a good choice on busy days.

The patio area is heated on cool days and A/C on hot.. There are several neat rooms inside including one with a huge fireplace. What I like most about this place is while they have the usual salads and seafood, they are daring in mixing and matching seafood and other items. Who puts peanuts in cole slaw? It works! Most things work at Sea Sea.

Wonderful experience!!. My family & I were out for a drive about 45 mins from where we live and stumbled across the restaurant. We had never eaten there before, but loved the look of it and the beautiful porch, so we decided to give it a try. We were there at lunch time and greeted right away by a very friendly hostess. We decided to eat on the porch because it was beautiful outside, I was a little worried because outside dining customers sometimes don't get the proper attention, but I was pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was very personable & attentive. She knew the menu well & gave us some great recomendations. The menu was pretty diverse & not like the same old menus at every other seafood restaurant. There was actually a little creativity used. We ordered an appetizer which came out in a timely matter & was wonderful!! It was their mahi mahi bites & they were fried perfectly. You could actually taste the fish instead of just the batter & they weren't greasy at all. Our meals then came out & we were even happier with them. Everything was hot, portions were more than enough & very tasty. I'm pretty critical about food because I always think "I could cook that at home & make it better", so for me to be impressed not only by their food, but the creativity of their menu really does say something. I think that the pricing was average, it was fair for the amount of food. We look forward to eating there again in the near future!!

RIP OFF BEWARE. Went there for lunch today.Very small portion Salad 1.95 more for a handful of lettuce and a shrivelled tomato. 2.00 for cold coffee. 9.50 for a tablespoon of rice and 5 peices of over coocke sea food I think. 4.75 for a 1/6th slice of GFS key lime pie. over charge doubled the expected gratuity 36% I waited till I got home to complain because of the party I was with. Still waiting for refund of gratuity overcharge.

Will not recomend and will never return.

A waste of time and money. I was so dissapointed ! I really wanted to like this place. Went in for lunch , and was there for 3 hrs. Not beacuse I enjoyed it. Waited, waited waited.Waitress never came over. When she did, well lets say she hasn't really found her dream job yet. Food was cold and about as origianl as Gordons frozen fish sticks.Wasted alot of time and money.Tourist trap

Great Place for Seafood. This is an old Florida house built in 1903 with wonderful charm the food is great, always look forward to seeing what the chef specials are. we have never been disappointed. I always like the seafood extravaganza it's a nice medley of seafood innovative sauces over linguini. The service is always pleasent. What i love about this place is they have such a variety on the menu from seafood to chicken to steaks, We can always find something to eat no matter what were in the mood for.

better choices in the area for sea, sea, seafood, service or any other cuisine.. We went on a Sunday evening at 8pm and the restaurant was not busy. However our experience was really nasty. Poor service. Average food. Moderate price. Inattentive wait staff. Snotty attitude when we pointed out lapse in the whole experience. This was the second visit that my family gave them so we could see if our first experience was a fluke. We were all of the same opinion... we will not go back and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are better choices just up the street like Casa Tina, Flanagans Irish Pub or Bellini.

relaxing and romantic. What a great place to meet your first date, they have to entrance just in case you want to leave, I met my blind date there we had the most relaxed and romantic dinner yet, the food was surprisingly wonderful we sat on the porch ordered a bottle of wine very nice selections and reasonable started with mahi bites then the blackened mix grill and the seafood extravaganza, what a good recommendation from our server Megan was great she new when to come over to the table and when to leave us alone, the chocolate torte was a nice ending to our evening, we have been back at least a dozen times this summer and always enjoyed everything.
